According to last years threads, SA and Houston sent emails at midnight, while A&M sent out emails around 7 am.

Hey everyone, congratulations to everyone who has already been accepted into a dental program! For those of you who haven’t do not worry, there is plenty of time and spots left! UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston has created a Facebook group with a bunch of helpful upperclassmen that is designed to help you guys make the transition into dental school! The official name of the Facebook group is: “UTSD Houston C/O 2023”. If you have been accepted and would like to join, please message one of the class officers. When you ask to join, please send a screenshot of your acceptance email to one of the officers and we'll add you to the group. Once again welcome to the UTSD family!

Yeah, what's up with that? The 2015 thread was at 15 pages by this point. Congrats to the acceptances and interviews! Best of luck to those still waiting, I know how traumatizing this whole process can be. :laugh:
 
I applied to all 3 Texas schools as a Texas resident and haven't heard anything, rejection or interview invite. Have any in-state applicants received rejections? I know they still give out interviews throughout January, but I'm starting to get a little discouraged🙁...

I’m also in the same boat as you:/ no rejection but no interviews.
 
Same here. I know they sent a few rejections from A&M, but it sounds like OOS applicants only.

SAMEEEEEE I feel like I am just waiting for the rejection letters at this point LOL. Trying to remain positive but it's tough

Same... a while back Janet Pledger sent me a personal email from TAMU asking for unofficial transcript to update my record which gave me hope that they were interested. But I still haven't heard anything from any texas schools 🙁
 
I submitted my deposit to UTSA, but i have not heard anything from the school yet. Is there anything i have to do?
 
Same here. I just received a confirmation email for the deposit payment. I'm going to call them to see if I need to do anything further. I know they want you to give them shot records and financial aid application etc.

Yes I got the confirmation email for the payment and that was it. Please let us know what the school says! I would love to get shots, look for housing and etc.
 
Has anyone’s grades in the coursework section been updated after submitting a new transcript? It says that they’ll do it for you, but I sent a new transcript 3 weeks ago and my grades for my fall courses still say not yet reported.

They said as of right now all you have to do is just pay the deposit fee and apply for FAFSA. In terms of applying for FAFSA, faster you apply the better because they give out financial aid based on first-come-first-serve. She said that everything else like background check and shot records, etc don't happen until around March, so not to worry about them yet.
 
For those of you waiting on second round of acceptance for Texas A&M, they said it won't be until around the end of February, "at the earliest".

when did you get this information? During Dec, Mrs. Pledger told me 2nd wave will be sent during late jan/early feb.

Today by email. According to last year's thread the second round did go out Early February, but looks like this year is delayed a bit.

I interviewed at A&M in Sept and got accepted Dec 3rd!

Congratulations! If you don’t mind me asking, how was your stats? How many hours did you have when you applied?

as in how many hours of course work. I applied with 6 hours of course work while I was taking 12 hours in fall 2018. I had to update my transcripts right after my Fall 2018 grades got updated so that I would have at least 18 hours of course work for them to see it.
 
Does anyone know if you have to update TMDSAS with your last transcript if you already updated the school you will be attending? I got an email saying I had to but wasn’t sure why?

I only had 3 hours of course work when I submitted my application and I was taking 18 during fall. Because we had some 6 weeks classes, I updated my transcript as soon as I got my grades for those. I also sent another one after fall semester. My DAT was 24 AA, 23 TS, 3.75, and 4.0 Master. Hope it helps 🙂
