My certification page was received on July 1st, and my application still has not been sent to the schools. What the hell is wrong with them? Those incompetent fools! It seems as if they are just on track with their texas residents.

So you're going to withdraw your app since you wouldn't want to deal with "incompetant fools", i take it? Or are you just whining for no reason? --Trek

Chill out, dirty. I'll bet you 1 million dollars that if you could use AMCAS instead, hell would freeze over before ANYTHING happens with it. From what I have read, TMDSAS is much more efficient than AMCAS. I think that you should expect that your app will be transmitted soon. Just wait it out, and good luck.

This (late summer) is the busiest time for applications at AMCAS/TMDSAS. Your application will get processed sooner or later. Regardless of when it does, schools give an equal look at everyone (except maybe the SUPER late people). If you're scared that your application at TMDSAS was overlooked somehow, e-mail them. They've always been pretty quick to respond. And yeah i think TMDSAS is a much more efficient and quicker application process than AMCAS (I've already gotten three interviews in Texas, and I am still waiting on secondaries from my AMCAS schools)

Don't you hate people who think they deserve something.

No. He's nervous about apps; we all are. I think that the closer and closer we get to finding out if we are gonna get in, the bitchier we are gonna get. But see Jalby, you dont gotta worry about that. You've got 332 hours left til you start medical school, no?

Did you call them to see what the problem is? Unlike AMCAS, TMDSAS actually answers the phone (and answers questions too!). I'd check on it because there might be a mix-up somewhere.

My advice is to try and relax a little. It took them about three weeks to a month from the receipt of my cert page to transmission, and they had my stuff in early June. They'll get there soon, just give them a little more time. I would email them too, they're really quick to respond, and friendly too.

bruinkid--i think a month is the turnaround time, so check to see where you are around beginning of Aug

i would definitely call/email them b/c last year i ran into some trouble with tmdsas too: they didn't verify my mcat scores (released in april) and post letters of rec (sent early and multiple times) until i harassed them a bit.

some TX schools said that the delay didn't matter because out-of-state applicants are evaluated last, but to the contrary-- a few days after tmdsas finally verified my mcat scores, i rec'd an invite from southwestern. tmdsas still hadn't posted my LORs at that time...but with more nagging (esp. since southwestern would probably need the LORs in time for my interview) everything got squared away.

if i hadn't checked up on them, i probably wouldn't be matriculating to southwestern in the fall, so yeah--it sucks, but it's worth doing.

Hey Bruinkid--

don't worry about SW. i called them and they said they haven't even begun putting files together for their applicants. the receptionist said they will start this in about two weeks--but she sounded like that was justa possibility. so it shouldn't matter if your app has been sent off yet. have you done their secondary?

It wasn't that that did it for me. It was the "What the hell is wrong with them" and the "incompent fools" that pissed me off.

And, it's only 308 hours left.

Sorry, I didn't mean to put TMDSAS down. I'm just worried about how they received my certification page a month ago, and how everything else has been received, yet they haven't sent it out to schools. I've even completed all of my secondaries. I guess I'll just e-mail them and call them.
