Ah, I see what you're saying. I pulled up the google earth map of the school and it's an old one. All of the trailers have been moved from our part of the building, and the back has been restriped for cars. Odds are parking will be kind of exciting for the first few weeks (it certainly was when we showed up) but after everyone gets settled in, it won't be a problem. Same goes for the study rooms, tables, chairs, couches …etc. At first it will seem like there just aren't enough, but after people figure out which classes they want to attend and which one's they don't and where they want to study and where they don't, life will be much calmer.zzzsindeed said:I hope so.
I don't seem too convinced by looking at an areal view of the school. There's roughly 150 spots in the front. I don't see room for 300 more spots in the sides and back. Go to google locals and look at a hybrid overview/areal....do the math...it's not even close.
I'm raising this because something has to be done.
I chose this school over other schools for many reasons.
We shouldn't have to worry about silly things like parking.
plus, maybe you aren't factoring in that the 08-ers will be gone, so between your class and 08s class, the difference is ~55 spots. maybe you should wait to get here before you start getting concerned...that way you can see how much of a non-issue parking is...zzzsindeed said:I hope so.

oh, and if your mom wanted to come, there is tons of street parking, and also a few visitor spots...
also, why would touro need 300 more spots?
pm me the details please! or, im coming back to vegas tomorrow, i'll call you then, since i have your hard drive to give back anyways 😀box29 said:We won't be gone... 😛 You'll see us when we come back for OMM call backs and to take our post-rotational exams/shelf exams...You can't get rid of us that easily!!! We won't be gone until graduation.![]()
I think Touro should build a covered parking garage structure to keep our cars out of the sun...Or, redo the facade of the building...
Hey 1hot...I heard what's in the works for your CS class...looks like it'll be more consistent ...rumor has it that Kalekas and Dr. Mac will be giving a lot of the lectures! I think thats good for you all!

Just for that, I just got of the phone with Dean Forman, and sorry to say it, but you guys (08ers) have to park on Gibson now. 🙁 Oh and you will have to recycle 😛 😉box29 said:mmmwwwwwuuuuhaaahaaahaa! Just when you thought it was over! Actually, we're getting secret tuition reimbursements from administration to torture you guys and make parking even more difficult!Maybe well take up ALL the parking and put flyers on all the other cars (j/K)... 😛 😉

who taught CS?
So, my adviser left AND second year just got harder...GREAT! 🙄box29 said:Actually, Dean Forman must have misplaced the memo from Dr. Bernard Lander, the Founder and President of Touro College, that gave the class of 2008, full reign of the school + dibs on the new secret underground air-conditioned garage parking with proxi card access...oh I forgot the valet service and care detailing 😛![]()
CS was taught by a gazillion of docs, including Dr. Silvers, from the area for us...and a multitude of notes that didn't necessarily correlate with our text.
Dr. Kalekas and Dr. Mac will definitely give you guys a great course. I'm sure they'll be harder on you guys since they know you already and this will be the meat of introducing basic science to clinical science...Anyways, you'll be better off.

Don't worry, me and Kubed will take care of the valet and car detailing 😎
Yep 🙁 I wonder how that is going to affect LORs and the Dean's Letter?box29 said:Who was your advisor? Silvers?
What!?!? Are those anything like 3rd generation Cephalosporins or Echinocandins??? 😕box29 said:Oh, btw, I prefer Zymol, Lexol, and Meguiar's products for my leather interior surfaces. Anything other than that must be approved by administration.😀

Nystatin...psst 🙄 I was thinking much more along the lines of an Allylamine...please. 😴 Are you sure you got what you said you did on the shelf exam? 😛box29 said:Ummm, I don't think so...perhaps you should look up the chemical structures and note their MOAs...I would think they're more like Nystatin, who knows...
are you sure your not a sniper instead of a gunner?
zzzsindeed said:Nice. I can get tuition from google earth now.
Good, I'm a little relieved.
Thanks for the update Kubed, that put me to ease.
I withdrew from a certain DO school and I've had jitters since then. 🙁 [I wish I had a twin!]
I was concerned earlier because I figured 135 in our class, maybe 100 prev class, 100 total PA students maybe, 100 from nursing, education, occ therapy, etc, plus eh maybe 30 staff/fac/adm on a given day...that's around 450 spots (not counting the 08ers) and I only saw (as per the old map) 150 spots in the front. But you got the back too then that helps. Kubed's input sounds reasonable to me.
Good point though. I'll be careful not to call certain shots before hand. [I'll take back/edit my previous comments if I find that it isn't a problem.]
Thanks for the input.
I'm happy for now.
and what is your definition of 'normal'?zzzsindeed said:I guess I'm pretty normal stalking the school from old satellite images![]()
🙄 😀 🙂
Green Valley Ranch pool for Memorial Day was AWESOME! Me and some classmates sitting in the sun for 5 hours, drinking cocktails in perfect weather with a bunch of beautiful tourists all around us...Not bad! This is before we had a BBQ at Remington (also fun). You guys should definitely google Green Valley Ranch. When you get free time...this will be one of the places you will most likely spend your time. Well, just woke up for the day...have to go take a shower...MAN I LOVE SUMMER!box29 said:Wow...living up to what you say you are huh...
You're definitely in the running for "student DO gunner of the year" huh?![]()
How was GVR poolside?
box29 said:Where is everybody?
I think we might have scared them away. 🙁TranquilityLove said:Hopefully enjoying their summer... why aren't you studying??? Don't you have a big test or something important like that? 😛
cardiotonic said:I think we might have scared them away. 🙁
I really don't think he is all that worried after the score he got on the shelf exam. 😱
Napping and killing brain cells. What are you doing with your summer, studying? ... lamebox29 said:Where is everybody?
TranquilityLove said:I really hope they aren't studying... that would be... well.. gunner-ish. 😉
1hotaartichoke said:why are you coming into town?
i think that might be the weekend after exams...so you should be free. they only have a tentative schedule done right now...and who knows when the official one will be done. i know they have been working on it this week...so hopefully soon. but it should be the weekend after your blocks.shamrock said:Hi everyone, I'm a fellow 2010er. Just wondering, our white coat ceremony is Sept. 17- do you 09ers think that will be around an exam block? My parents want to know how long to stay and visit. Thanks!

Also, do girls really wear non-racerback sports bras and shorts for OMM lab?
1hotaartichoke said:yeah, they are kind of a pain in the butt to find...but we do. it is pretty important actually when feeling the upper thoracics... plus, a certain prof is pretty picky about us wearing the correct dresscode.
