OOoooo good luck! Mine is at 2pm 🙂. Are you attending the faculty panel at 9am? Maybe a bunch of us could meet beforehand...say hi and get the butterflies out? (my butterflies have started since I received the invite..)

I am definitely attending everything that I can attend, including the faculty panel, and even though I got a campus tour when I visited for their open house in September, I'll definitely do one again.

Anyway, I could definitely do an 8 am breakfast type thingy...the email from the vet students that I just got today (you probably got it too) said that the cafe on campus opens at 7 am for breakfast, so that seems like probably a good place to meet.


Also, are any of you guys planning to stay with a vet student? It's kind of funny that they're offering that...makes me feel like I'm really a "prospie", because that was always the highlight of the prospie experience for high school seniors visiting my undergrad. I think I may just stay with my mom in a B&B, though...

I think an 8am breakfast thing sounds great! I emailed about staying with a vet student because I figured it would be a good way to get a feel of the campus...but it did make me feel like a prospie again...

I called about my fall transcripts and asked about the letters going out too. She told me that everything would be out with the batch today. That includes all 3 types of letters (interview, interview waitlist, rejection).

She had my file open in front of her I was so tempted to be like so...could you just tell me what letter I'm getting?!?!? But I refrained since she didn't offer the info 😳

I'm not overly hopeful, since it does seem that most interviews have gone out, but I'm glad to hear that they said all three types of letters are still going out. I kind of assumed that only rejections were left. 😳

also, ninjacat, the schedule I was sent shows that the dual degree info session is 12:15 to 1 pm, so if your interview is at 1 pm, you may have to cut out of the session a couple minutes early, but it still seems like you should be able to be at the info session for most of it...?

I'm on the 7th! I'd love to chat with some other SDN'rs while I'm there.

I got rescheduled to the 7th at 2:30 so I hope to be there as well! I have family in boston, but I have not made any plans yet as for staying over. Any suggestions as to staying with the students there or to just grab a hotel? Staying with a student might be pretty insightful but I might have my aunt come with me so idk what I should do.

The only thing I'd recommend for everyone, is not to rent a car at the airport. There are at least 5 or 6 other rental locations within a 10 minute drive, and they're about 1/3 the cost - literally. I found this out when my car broke down over Thanksgiving as I was trying to get back down to NY to see family, and the only rental places open were the airport ones. It turned out they wouldn't take me anyway (because I had no plane ticket 🙄), but when I got a car the next day at my normal rental place, the price was about $140 for 3 days . . . not $400!!!

Speaking of which, the place that has never done me wrong is this Enterprise, in Revere. It's about a 10 minute cab ride from the airport and well worth it.

Hey! I have an interview same day around 3pm and I'm staying with a friend in the Fenway area of Boston (Google maps says ~4mi away from Harvard Sq). I'm planning on taking the commuter rail down in the morning... if there's a way to go together I definitely wouldn't mind the company on the way down (or a spot of breakfast either). 🙂

Yes. That is where the cafe is. The campus center is the building next to the police station. They will likely have you park by the admin building if so cross the street (there's a cross walk) and go past the little brown building to the building beyond it--that's the campus center.

That sounds good. My interview is actually at 10am not 3pm as I said earlier (confused it with my Iowa interview time for some reason), but I don't think that really makes a difference in planning considering the events of the day begin at 9am. The commuter rail can get me to Grafton by 8am (either that or 5am).

Tufts doesn't rank their waitlists - I was an alternate last year, after an interview, and as far as I know the interview waitlist isn't ranked either. When spots open up, they re-eval all the candidates.

I know it's a wee bit premature (but who couldn't use good wishes??) but, best of luck to all of the upcoming Tufts interviews!! I can't wait to meet SDN-ers when I go to mine and I'm really looking forward to Tufts. Hey everyone interviewing on Wed the 2nd, what are your travel plans with the incoming storm? I'm thinking of trying to stay in Grafton overnight . . . It's probably a bad idea to try to drive to an interview through sleet, snow and freezing rain . . .
