As for anonymity, I have the complete opposite, lol. When I first found SDN I decided to sign up with a professional name because I didn't know what kind of forum it was. And I'm the only jjohnston in UCD c/o 2013, haha.

And yeah heylodeb, you're good. I still have no idea who you are and have probably passed you on campus/talked to you/etc.!

I actually didn't know who you were so I went and looked, lol. and yes, we've seen eachother but I don't think we have ever had a heart to heart. 😉 You crazy busy 3rd years are always running around looking like the world is ending! 🙄
 
So, I feel like its never to early to start looking at housing. Where are some good apartments that are family and pet friendly. We have three dogs all about 25 pounds each.

That totally just brought tears to my eyes because I'm so happy! I couldn't even comprehend the words at first and was like, whaaatt, but I am so happy and excited for you!
 
And jj, I knew who you were. My mentor is in your class 🙂 I told her all about our ww game and she thought it was hilarious.

Valid point. I was more concerned with whether or not I need to delete my 2008 SoCal Tranny Midget Convention photo album. Need to maintain some level or professional standards, ya know...

Am I really the only one whose heard today on SDN? Why am I the last to know everything?

Im thinking Monday, bc that's what heylodeb said. Plus I finished all my prereqs before and am only taking the 2nd course of biochem (hopefully it will be helpful). So for everyone still completin them, sit tight.

Good luck to everyone still waiting! The power of positive thinking is strong (thank god I had others doing it, bc I was sure lacking in it!)
 
i am waitlisted.. ughh.

Has anyone heard of/had experiences with the waitlist? I'm thinking at this point I'm going to accept my OSU offer..
 
Butterjelly, congrats! Waitlisted is not a bad thing. You can accept your position at OSU, and if your number comes up, cancel. You may lose your deposit, but lots of people do it.

I would definitely do this. There is no deposit for Davis (yippee!) so you aren't really losing that much money. Congrats on the waitlist!!! Are you OOS?
 
I was on the waitlist two years ago when I applied. Just call the office to find out what position you are in. They will explain to you that they over-accept X amount of students. So to put it in english, say they overaccept 14 students, and your waitlist number is 3, then you have to wait for 17 students to decline their spot for you to get in. I know it sounds like a lot, but I do believe that the waitlist moved pretty well last year. They will also give you a gauge of how far they typically see the waitlist move.

Congrats to everyone who got in, and hold tight those who were waitlisted!!! I hope to see you here in the fall!🙂

Oh yeah. Good point. But I don't think any of the founding documents or conventions originated or took place in Pittsburgh. That is where we kept our slaves I believe. You have to cross Pennsyltucky to get to your neck of the woods. I know it all too well as I got my first degree from Sandusky State. 🙄

thank you for the support everyone. i definitely ran into the bathroom and cried for two minutes (as i was working!). felt like digging a ditch and dying, but i guess now i'm okay. it's just such a emotional rollercoaster..

i called yasmin (or yazmin?) and she said that they overadmitted 12 this year, that 2 already declined, and accepted more OOS'ers than previous years. she said she usually sees the wait list move up to number 7-9. i am number 7, but i don't have the emotional capacity to be really hopeful at this point. i will call back when it comes closer to april 15th and i haven't heard anything yet.

I started this process by thinking no one will even INTERVIEW me, let alone be accepted to my top choice. Boy was I wrong.

Hence why I applied to so many, but another story entirely. I think you have a great chance of getting in! Especially at number 7!!!

My sentiments exactly. Not to obsess more than needed, but last year there were 30 offers declined and the previous year there were 22.
 
thank you everyone! i guess we'll just have to see.. i will keep you guys posted!

TigerWillow, I never thought i would get any interviews this year either.. but i got interviews to 4 of the 5 schools i applied to.. (damn U-Penn! lol), and declined WSU and Western after OSU offered me a seat. It has been a good first-time application experience, and thank god it will my be last!

If i get happen to get Davis, great.. if not.. i will be more than happy to attend OSU!

Two things about your admission notifications:
1.) If your email did not specifically state that you had courses (e.g. Physics, Biochem, etc.) pending, then we have determined that you have satisfied all course requirements. All admission is provisional until we have received your final/spring 2012 transcripts and verify that your GPA meets the minimum stated in your admission letter.

2.) You will not receive a second confirmation notice that your acceptance form has been received. Once you submit the online accept form, you will receive a confirmation notice immediately.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I think you can be moderately hopeful - they hit 19 last year! The worst that happens if you accept to Ohio and then swap is you lose your Ohio deposit, right?
 
Boy, that was fast!!! But at least the aggravation was short. Yesterday was AWFUL for me. I'm sad to say I cried at the gas station. But then again, my gas cost me $66, so it could have helped.

What do you drive, a tank?! I drive a 2000 BMW 323i. Damn premium gas.
