Should I be worried if my portal still says "Thank you for completing your Supplemental Application. We will update you once we have finished reviewing the application. This process will take 6-8 weeks." since Sept 30th and nothing has changed? I've seen people say once it's being graded or in that process it switches to "MMI Invite Hold." Is that true?

Don’t worry it will change eventually! Pretty sure everyone gets on the MMI hold but only 300 applicants get off of it

This means your application hasn’t been reviewed or scored fully yet, you’re just in line. No reason to worry! If you’re like me, you’ll still check the portal 5 times/day though!
 
I was put on MMI hold on Tuesday afternoon and offered an MMI invite on Weds! I’m a very nontraditional applicant so I figured for me it was either hard yes or hard no. It makes me think everyone goes to MMI hold even if they’re likely to get an invite.

Yay, congrats!! Crossing my fingers as another nontrad applicant. I feel the same way, either it's going to be a hard yes or a hard no but I'm still on the MMI waitlist after 2 weeks 🤣

300 is such a crazy number to think about! So pretty much all of you who have had interviews are apart of that 300 subset?—if so, all of you are SO cool for that

I completed my supplemental on 9/22, was put in "Supplemental Application Review" on 10/8 and invited to MMI on 10/10. The only available date to schedule at that point was 10/24, so I'm a bundle of nerves til then! I'm OOS and also a very nontraditional applicant.

Thanks! I know the wait for news is excruciating. Hoping for good news for you too! I got rejected without an interview from SGU today, so I’m glad I got some good news first!

Submitted my supplemental on the same date, and that message is what's on my portal too

Does yours say something along the lines of "Supplemental Review" under Recent Activities? Mine just says something about "Initial Review" still and I think that's the part that makes me kinda nervous—I just don't know if I should be seeing something different if that makes sense 🙂 Fingers crossed for the both of us!

Mine says "additional initial review", hoping for the best🤞
 
I'd love for someone to just tell me what I already know so I can stop panicking that I'm going to miss my interview haha.. So it's scheduled for 10/24 at 11:05 am AZT.. that is 2:05 pm EST, yes? Time zone changes + lack of daylight savings + me being delusional/ocd... doesn't end well hahaha

Yes, for ease of thinking about it, AZ is currently aligned with Pacific time. 3 hours difference to the east coast. In November it’ll be aligned with Mountain time though, so later interviewees pay attention!

Shockingly this never occurred to me lol I'm still waiting to hear back but guys.....it isn't over til IT'S OVER!!!!!
 
How is everyone's process going? I'm still currently in that limbo period just waiting around but hearing about all of you moving forward is still pretty fun for me
 
Hi everyone! I got an MMI invite yesterday afternoon (yay!). There's currently only one date and time available on their scheduling calendar - if you've received an MMI invite, were there more options for you? How often do they add more MMI dates?

I only had one day available for mine and I think I was one of the first, so it probably won’t change? I did get to choose between 2 times tho, but I had to call out of 1.5 hours of work for it

I had a scheduling conflict for my initial interview date and they ended up adding another day.. so it's worth a shot to email them!
 
Does anyone know when the last time they pulled for interviews was? I got put on MMI hold 10/21

They send out interview invites each week, and they look at the whole pool of applicants each week when deciding who to give invites to. So if you didn't get called this week, it could be that your supplemental hasn't been processed yet or your app wasn't one that was looked at this week (since only so many people can be invited each week) so sometimes it takes a little bit for you get hear back! Sit right. Not hearing anything isn't necessarily bad news.
 
Okay so, I’ve been lurking heavily all year, but it didn’t feel real until I just got my MMI invite today!!!
I wanted to post in case it helps anyone, because this thread has been an essential part of my support system this whole cycle.
I am first time applicant, in state, and submitted my Kira 9/25 (portal updated on 26th to thank me for taking it).
Got update for “Supplemental Review” on 10/22… this had me worried because I thought it was the same as the hold people talk about… but no!
I then got put on “MMI Invite Hold” today 10/29 and given an invite same day! I logged in at 9:30am which is way later then first thing when I wake up and normally check it, so I don’t know how long it took to switch. I immediately scheduled, and there was two dates available with two time slots on one date and one on the other date.

Like another person that posted here who got a faster result and interviewed already, I am a VERY nontraditional applicant… so kinda figured it would be a real hard yes or no (I was actually waitlisted for an interview immediately on one of my other applications,which was fine because U of A is my top choice anyway).

Also, take this with a grain of salt because it’s strictly observational, but I think they do 15 invites per week if they review apps every week for invites like another poster has said. If they still interview 300 people, and start last week of Aug-January then it looks like it would be 15 per week! Just little side note if it helps any of the over thinkers like myself out there! Remember interviews go till January, and if you are at this point and taking the effort to come to this thread, you should be incredibly proud of yourself.

***Edit to add: I also have not gotten an email update for the interview invite yet, so make sure you’re checking your portal! I was worried if the portal updated before email, interview slots would fill up and am really glad I saw it on the portal!!

Your comment actually is the main one that kept me as close to sane as is possible during the waiting game since you posted about your supplemental going in on the 30th!

It looks like the people that submitted before us moved a little faster, so I’m thinking they probably have largest volume of submissions on the last days… plus it’s crazy to think about it but remember that interviews go out til January, the people who have had updates now can’t be anywhere near that 300 (if that’s the actual number they interview) yet!

Deep breaths, and you got this!!!

Hey! Update my portal says as of yesterday 10/31:
"Supplemental Application Review
Your application is being reviewed for an MMI invite. Invites are sent from August to December. All applicants will be notified by middle of December if they have been invited for an MMI invite."
 
I have been on MMI Invite Hold since 9/24. Not feeling confident!!

dont fret!! i was on MMI hold from September to December and got an interview in the second to last date. there is no correct timeline to receive one!
 
I also was on hold from October to December and I am now a second year student. It isn't over until it is over!

Oh my goodness that's so exciting!!!!! I'm still waiting but I've just gotta be patient🤞
 
I just got confirmation from UAZ that MMI interview invites are sent out on Wednesdays and Thursdays! There will be 300-325 interview invites. So try to keep calm and only check your portal at the end of week to maintain some peace! 💓
 
i got an application update on the 29th stating my kira application was being reviewed I checked again today and by 1 November I got placed on a MMI interview hold. I thought it was gonna take 2 to 3 weeks like a lot of you guys were saying, but since they reached back out so quick when should I hear back for an interview?
 
Hello! UACVM admissions office here.... Just wanted to clarify a few things based on the forum.

    1. We are currently reviewing applications that completed their Kira Talent Supplemental assessment on 09/29.
    2. Your portal will update once your supplemental assessment is scored; you will then be reviewed for an MMI invite.
    3. An MMI invite can take 6-8 weeks. We send invites out every Wednesday or Thursday. People can be on this waitlist for a few months at time. That does not mean you are not being considered.
    4. All applicants are still being considered until a denial is sent out, which will occur the first to second week of January
