Hey everyone, I have a question for those who have already been accepted. Did it really take a week for the committee to respond with a decision? or did it take longer?

I had my interview January 14th, which was the first interview date. They were pretty unorganized with everything and it took me about 2 weeks to receive my acceptance. However, my roommate had the February 18th interview date, and received her acceptance monday. So I think from now on everyone will hear within a week!

and...
CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE WHO JUST GOT ACCEPTED!! From what I've head everyone from your interview date was gainesville campus, congrats! I need my fellow orlando-ers to start surfacing!

Actually took less than a week for them to get back to me.

Nope less time. I interviewed on the 2/18 and got accepted on 2/23. They were really quick about it.

edit: my question has been answered on the pharmcas thread.

Anybody receive an interview who took the PCAT on january 22nd of this year?

i just got an invitation for interview at the st pete campus. plz, any hint about the interview process is appreciated. Can someone plz give me a layout of what to expect on the interview day?

From past years, after UF receives the jan pcat scores, how long should would be the approximate time before receiving an interview date? I know every application is different but just more or less.

I just want to let you guys know that I got an interview for the st. pete campus march 25. I have a 73 pcat and a little above a 3.6 science GPA ( my cumulative is barely a 3.2). There is still hope! And with their interview:accepted ratio, how can you not be stoked! GOOD LUCK, hope to see some UF st. pete pharmers in August (if everything goes well for me...)

I currently live in Gainesville, I'm going to the Orlando campus though. However, a lot of the apartment complexes here roommate match in case you cant find anyone right away! There are some apartment complexes geared directly towards graduate students as well. If you need any advice on where to live just message me and I will try my best to help!!

Also, I am looking to sublease my apartment in Gainesville for May, June, and July since I will be moving to Orlando. If anyone plans on moving to Gainesville early in the summer let me know also and I'll give you details about my apartment 🙂))

Good luck to everyone!

Any advices/opinions will be greatly appreciated!🙂

any advice for possible questions, specific to UF only?

Does anybody know how much is offered in loans to UF students per year more or less (paying in-state tuition)?

Also what is an average week/day like at one of the satellite campuses?
I have so many questions and tried finding as much information as I can on here about UF because unfortunately I don't know anyone there.
Thank you to whomever can give some insight

During the interview Dr. McKenzie said in state students can get a max of $33,000 in loans. There are financial advisors available at the COP so if you call the front office I'm sure you can set up an appointment with one of them!

Thanks gatorgirl!
I have my interview in less than 2 weeks in so I look forward to hearing more about all that stuff. Just wanted to get an idea for now. Seems like an amount that would allow you to live pretty well while in school.

It seems like UF only extends interviews on Thursdays? Am I mistaken here?

i believe all interviews are on fridays....

as for interview emails letting you know that you have gotten one...i was emailed on monday of this week for my march 25th interview

Yeah I saw that and it seemed that yours was the only one they had done that for. Yeah I knew the interview dates were on Fridays but the day they actually extend the interview I thought maybe was just on thursdays. Thanks for the clarification guys

How long did it take for you guys to receive your acceptance after the interview? Was it via email or regular mail? Thanks!

Don't be nervous!! You will do great, and all of the interviewers are extremely nice and understanding. If you have any questions feel free to message me! Also, UF pretty much only interviews people that want to accept so consider that a feat in itself!

I'll be interviewing for Friday Orlando also. I'll Let you know how it goes lol

Congratulations to all of you who have received interviews and to those who have already been accepted!! 🙂 Does anyone know the interview to acceptance ratio?

Hi All,

I just got accepted to UF pharmacy in gainesville, and am currently in the process of looking for a female roommate(s) who is in pharmacy school or just got accepted for Fall 2011. Please PM me if you are interested.

Thanks! :luck:

Congrats to all those with interviews. My best advice for the interviews is to just relax - they simply want to see how you are as a person, thus the fun hypothetical questions.

For those interviewing at the Orlando campus this upcoming Friday, know that the student ambassadors that are there REALLY want to be there. I very much wanted to go but we have exams Thursday, Friday, white coat Saturday, exam Monday, then 3 quizzes on Tuesday (gives you an idea of what you're in for).

If you're looking for roommates, it will be "very advantageous" for you to find current students to room up with.

I'll be there! I go to FSU now about to graduate in April, but I live less than five minutes away from the St. Pete campus. St.Pete/Tampa area is awesome. I'm in the 9am-12 block on March 25, cant wait to meet all you st. pete pharmers.

I just rec'd my invitation to interview on the 25th at the Gville campus last Friday!! I was doing the happy dance when I got that email :soexcited:. Anybody on here going to be joining me at the interview? Anybody know what to expect? I would greatly appreciate any insight into the format/types of questions they will be asking. Good luck guys :luck: 🙂

I've looked and called UF but I just can't find an email address to contact whoever is in charge of my application. Could anyone please tell me the contact info for this person? I wanted to ask what is the status of my application.

Hey Meg, I'm also interviewing at the Gainesville campus on March 25th....I'm super nervous about this as UF is my first choice...

I've talked to a few people who are current students both at g-ville and at the satellite campuses and they have told me to just relax and prepare for a lot of hypothetical and situation-based questions, such as what would you do if (blah blah blah)....one question i have heard mentioned a bit was what you would do if you had to deal with an angry person or maybe work in a group with a member that wasn't pulling their weight.

Idk it seems like since UF interviews only the people that they really like, this interview seems to be more about finding out about the person i guess....i also recently found out the interview is closed-file as well

if anyone has heard differently or anything else they would like to add please do so....the more help the better!! Thank you and good luck to everyone!

sweet got an interview invite for march 25th last Friday , im pretty excited now i just gotta finish orgo and sweet sailing from then on ......:xf:

Which campus, Gville or St Pete?

Anyone on here that is planning to attend the Orlando campus COP know a good place to live, meet potential roommates etc…? I am from South Florida and have really no clue. The campus itself is in the middle of nowhere. Also with the potential of the new campus opening in 2012 I am thinking about a place somewhere in between? Any ideas?

I am accepted and plan on attending the Orlando campus. I am wondering the same thing on which places are good to live. I also need to know where to find roommates! I know campus is moving in 2012 but Apopka and Lake Nona are kinda far away from each other. So I am thinking of just moving again in 2012. I know Orlando just had a big interview date, so if a lot of people get accepted we should start a facebook group to discuss all of these things!
