University of Illinois at Chicago Class of 2025 Interview/Acceptance Thread

Has there been any movement on the waitlist? Or any recent acceptances/rejections?

Is applying to UIC as an out-of-state the same thing as a donation? Are there any out-of-state applicants accepted?

They should refund the application money if they not going to look at the application or send a courtesy response... lol.. or maybe I am serious 🙂

If their class is full does anyone know how their waitlist movement is?

Are they gonna at least tell those that interviewed last month whether they’re on the waitlist or not?

Hi! I have two questions. 1. I interviewed this past Monday and wanted to send a thank you email but my Friday session is not until next Friday. For those who have already interviewed, was it just their school email that they give you or a general email and they forward the message for you? And 2. Is it actually confirmed that they are just interviewing for the waitlist currently? I just feel like that’s something they might have to specify? Not sure though

I feel like they are not good with communication!
I think most schools are not good with communication to applicants. Before anyone goes on the school's side, let me say this. They get somewhere between 100-250 dollars per application. I think it is only fair that they send everyone timely and multiple responses so applicants know where they stand. If an average school gets 1500 applications, that is about 300K dollars. They can spend 50K to respond to people.. Just my 2 cents 🙂

Has anyone else besides the one person that was placed on the waitlist recently, get placed on the waitlist or hear back at all?

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone heard back recently regarding being accepted/waitlist/or bad news? Or has anyone rejected their offer for admission? I have not heard anything back since the last part of the interview where we meet the admissions panel. Anyone else in the same boat???

When did you interview?

I interviewed in January and after a couple of weeks received an email saying my application is "delayed decision." I haven't heard anything since then. This is different than their waitlist right? I'm assuming since I have neither been accepted nor waitlisted they haven't filled their spots yet.... Thoughts?

What is the difference between a delayed decision vs waitlist? Also is it better not to hear back at all then get the response of waitlist/delayed decision? Thanks

Hi, has anyone heard anything back the past couple weeks? Thanks.

I was accepted to UIC COD today off the waitlist at 2:52 pm. FYI I wrote a letter of intent and was placed on the waitlist the next day. Good luck to you all 🙏🏽
Congratulations, that is awesome! Just wondering: how many days does the COD give to respond back with a decision? Thanks and congrats!
