Has anyone heard anything from the Florida campus that was at the 4/10 interview? Today is the 3 week mark so I might call them a little later to see if the decisions would be out soon.
Nope, haven't heard anything. A friend of mine said that decisions are usually sent out on Fridays. The Florida March interview group heard last Friday a little after 4pm. I'm thinking we'll either hear around 4pm today or 4pm next Friday...

I honestly believe that stringing us along this long is only hurting them in the long run. In the 5 weeks since my interview I have been doing serious thinking and no longer feel that the cost and amount of debt I would be in is worth it. I will be working on my application and applying else where next year. If they had replied before I got jaded about it I would have happily jumped on the acceptance. Their loss I suppose, I hope they fix this in the future.

Which campus did you apply for?

@Macklelaur I tried calling twice but kept getting Erika's voicemail. I'll try again later but not sure how much luck I will have.

Hello,
I interviewed with the 4/10/2015 group in Florida and I've been reading this thread for a while. I sent out an e-mail to Angeline Cloud but I received an automated response that told me to e-mail Diana Aybar, the Admissions specialist to the Miami campus. I emailed her and she told me that they're running a little behind schedule but decisions should be made within two weeks max. I thought I'd let you guys know.

I didnt get into Austin. They sent it yesterday and am just now finding out

For those who got accepted to San Marcos, did you guys get any e-mails regarding our next step? Or perhaps they're waiting to accept everyone before handing that out...? Another waiting game...

Hopefully the rest of us will find something out this week!

I got my acceptance letter on Friday from the Austin campus for the MOT program

For those of you that got accepted into Austin's campus, what were your stats (if you don't mind answering)? Interested for future application purposes!

Ditto this but for San Marcos' campus. Thanks in advance!

I got an email this morning from Erika saying they are about to resume their admission committee decision meetings and the results of those decisions will be shared between May 6th and May 15th. The mail point of the email was to make sure I had any missing documents submitted (not sure if everyone got this email or just those who had outstanding documents). I applied for Florida DPT so hopefully we know by the end of the week and our waiting game will be over!

I was sent that email as well. I'm thinking we'll hear this Friday, but it would be cool if we did hear Wednesday the 6th, the earliest date.

I also received the email. The only thing that is missing from my application is my final transcript (that will be available after this week), hopefully that won't hold up my decision.

@mh0408 I applied for the Flex program, not the full time-program (which is much more competitive). I was concerned about my GPA and I had some pre-req classes incomplete at the time that I applied (both semester physics and physio). Most schools will only allow you to be missing two pre-req classes, USA allowed 3 so it was the only school that I applied to. I wasn't super hopeful about getting in this application cycle but decided I might as well try. If I didn't get in I would have applied for the full-time program for Fall 2016.

College: UC San Diego
Major: Human Development
GPA 3.11 (probably around 3.3 with post bacc CC courses)
pGPA 3.1-3.2 (with 4 pre-reqs taken at community college)

GRE: 325 (161V, 164Q), 5.5 Writing

PT Observation Hours: 550+
- 200 Hospital inpatient setting in a variety of units
-350 Outpatient clinic/athletic training facility

From a GPA stand point my application was really weak, with C's in Bio and Chem and a low B in Stats. I didn't take school very seriously as an undergrad, especially my first 2.5 years. I think the only thing that really helped me GPA wise was that I rededicated myself to studying in community college (4.0 in the 40 units that I've taken). I'm sure my GRE score helped my application, and I had a good relationship with the people who wrote recommendations for me.

Overall, I feel blessed to get in with how competitive the application process is becoming. If you're super concerned about how competitive your application is, maybe consider Flex, although it's not for everyone. What I like about the Flex program is I have the opportunity to work while going to school and hopefully come out of school with a little less debt. Also, I'm relatively young and I could do a lot worse than being a student in sunny San Diego for the next four years :)

Thanks for the reply! Wow those are some pretty numbers for the GRE!
I'm currently doing my applications right now for the full-time Spring 2016 intake. I'm quite similar in that I didn't take school very seriously as an undergrad either and I had to retake a few courses to increase my GPA.

My stats currently are
Last 45 GPA: 3.58
pGPA: 3.30
GRE 305, 4.0

I know it's not the best, but hopefully I can at least make it to the interview and impress them enough then. Hope to see you on campus in the near future!

hey does anyone know what criteria they use to give admission for the DPT programs AFTER they take the interview? as in, do they look ONLY at the interview or do they look more at the rest of your application (GPA, GRE, LOR's etc...) or a little of both?

They look at a little of both. The interview isn't the only factor.

Who makes these facebook groups, do you know? Or do students just make them haha :)

Someone should post on this thread if there is a facebook page for the san marcos campus!!

@solagratia5 students make them - I started the FL campus one since one hadn't been created. I haven't seen one for the San Marcos campus yet, but you could create one!

I'm right there with you...haha i'm just glad I found this forum so we can all wait together to hear from them. I can't imagine what it would be if I didn't know other people hadn't heard anything either! Especially because they are so hard to get in touch with.

For the FL campus.. Everyone still waiting?? I just found the forum! I am still waiting as well!

Haha, I mean, there isn't a whole lot to do while we wait. Unless I'm sleeping, I'm thinking about PT school, lol
