Just relax. Take some deep breaths, drink some water, and act like you’re about to have a conversation with some distant relatives that you don’t really know that well. They’ll ask you some pretty basic questions that have to do with your career interests, problems in vet med, some stuff based off of your school and work history, etc. If you search “PennVet interview questions” you’ll probably find some examples. It’s really not all that bad. They’re not out to get you, and they’re all very human. You did it. You got to this point. They want you. Now seal the deal.

This is my personal experience, but I don’t feel like it’s overall competitive. Within my friend group we have a shared Google doc to share notes and other class items with each other. I don’t really feel like most people are trying to get ahead at the expense of others. There are definitely some people that are competitive, but that’s anywhere. In general, it doesn’t give off the typical Ivy League cutthroat vibe.
In my experience, you'll find people of all types. In general, the atmosphere is collaborative, especially when it comes to upperclassmen passing down their wisdom and study materials to first-year students. Sometimes I find it a bit "cliquey," but that's mostly due to the larger class sizes. It also makes it easy to find your tribe, though.

I am in that boat so I decided to email admissions to see if they could provide me with an update. I really hate not knowing, although as every day passes, I'm starting to think it'll result in a rejection. Wish they would just tell us! lol

Just got a response! See below... my take on this then is that we should hear about interview invites no later than mid February if they are to complete their interviews by the end of February. So maybe within the next two or three weeks.
there were some when interviews started.
Not gonna lie I would have yelled at my interviewer for making me wait two extra days 🤣 Okay no I wouldn’t have, but I would have thought it really loudly
My fear is that they’re sending invites in order of who they’re most interested in... so past a certain date/number of people that have accepted their offers, everyone else that gets an interview invite will just be waitlisted. 😔
