Is it common for waitlist movement to occur before the April 30 deadline?
How my fellow TX waitlisters doing?
So Im deferred from one of my interviews and WL at another. Since I dont have an acceptance, would it be weird to send the deferred school a letter of intent/update? Right now I have it formatted as a letter of interest but I would 100% matriculate there over the WL school
IMHO I think it doesn't hurt (though others on SDN would say its pointless). Completely anecdotal but last cycle I sent a letter of interest and intent to two schools. While they didn't accept me, they give me earlier interview dates this cycle (mid february and late october to mid september). Only change in app was clinical experience, which I updated them on through out the cycle. So Im deferred from one of my interviews and WL at another. Did they mention anything about your updates? I heard that some schools dont really look at pre-II updates and I have sent schools many updates over the year. So I won't have anything "new" if they read my updates. But Ill have a lot if they didnt.IMHO I think it doesn't hurt (though others on SDN would say its pointless). Surprisingly, they did. Also ran out of stuff to updates months ago, so only sent a unofficial transcript for classes from last semester this time round.Did they mention anything about your updates? I know my interviews asked about my activities but I feel like they weren't seen at some schools cuz I had feedback that seemed to suggest that my updates didnt mean much cuz the activities weren't on my primary to begin with.Surprisingly, they did. I’m going to have a crap ton of fun these next 4 weeks - going to universal studios/Harry Potter world, cinco de mayo partying, graduation parties, and a music festival. So this will all either be celebratory, or me just being in denial.
Fingers crossed!

Pretty much how I survived April. Hopefully I'm put out of my misery soon because my bank account can not afford another month of distractions.
1 interview, 1 waitlist. Life is on hold. Cortisol levels through the roof.
Hoping you hear good news next week!

Anyone else know how much waitlist movement there is at Wayne State?
As far as I know they have considerable waitlist movement. The updated MSAR shows that they waitlist 500 and accept 200. Acceptance tracker (granted idk when they last updated) shows that they've only sent out 349 acceptance offers which is way too little for their class size of ~300. So I would stay optimistic!
Anyone care to check out the MSAR for Washington State University's waitlist procedure? I'd really appreciate it.
Not overly helpful, but here's what the MSAR says:
Waitlist Information
Typical number of waitlist positions per cycle
The number of positions vary each year.
Number of acceptance offers granted to applicants on the waitlist
Not Provided
Waitlist procedures and information
Applicants will be notified of their waitlist standing by the end of the interview season. Waitlist rankings will not be provided at any point.

Does anyone have the MSAR waitlist info for the University of Arizona - Tucson? I'd greatly appreciate it!
It should be noted that going to MSAR.com will NOT result in finding the MSAR. Nope. That's not the right website...
Isnt it a gun website? I feel like ive done it a million times
yep - and it autofills when I type in MSAR, so now it seems like I always get that site first.
thank you so much! I was honestly expecting a higher number of waitlist positions per cycle. The number of acceptance offers granted to waitlistees; is this info from 2016, an average count, or a set number?BOOM:

Just got off the waitlist. After being on the waitlist for the 2015-2016 cycle, I AM CRYING AND DON"T EVEN KNOW HOW TO PROCEED.

Hi there, I recognize you from the Pitt thread! Here is what's posted on MSAR although it looks like they got rid of the 2-tier WL system.Hi friends, does anyone have the MSAR information about Pitt's WL movement? I heard in previous years that it is pretty favorable to WL movement.. Thanks 🙂
