Overall GPA: ug: 2.7, 4.0 post bacc, 4.0 masters, 4.0 last 30 hours of science
Science GPA: 2.6 (will increase after fall sem)
Bio-Chem-Physics GPA: 2.7 (will incr after fall sem)
DAT score (include AA and all sections): 18 AA, 19 bio, 17 gc, 17 oc, 20 RC, 17 PAT, 18 TS

State of Residence: TX

Major: biology ug, MA medical sciences- biopsychology grad major

Minority?
asian Indian but came from disadvantaged background (#7b on NIH)

Reapplicant? Yes
Nontrad? no

Shadowing Experience:
600+, general dentist, peds, ortho

Volunteering Experience: 600+, tutoring, food bank, religious, pre-dental club

Employment: RDA, about 1100 hours

Research: microbio in undergrad, about 100

Other Extracurriculars: ice skating & softball mentor, geo club about 300

LOR type and strength: dentist, 2 science grad school professors
Misc Info/Things not stated elsewhere/Red Flags: I did a non-degree post bacc retaking some of my pre-reqs and got all A’s.

Retakes:
O chem 1 F retook for C+, O chem II C- retook for A. Biochem I C- retook for A, calc 1&2 F &F, retook for C, Gen Chem 1 & 2 D & F, retook for both A, physics 1 C- retook for A.

So with Retakes I have A’s for pre-reqs except math

planning on taking it again after im done w my master's in the winter
My personal thoughts are your chances are not great this cycle.

Ideally you could retake the DAT and get into a TX school as that will be most cost effective for you. That may be next cycle though.

I would much rather wait a cycle and go to a TX school than pay 400k+ for NYU/MWU/ASDOH etc.
