Hello everyone this is my first time posting, so if this is in the wrong section please let me know!
I am a socal asian male.
I attend a Cal State University. Molecular Bio/Biotech with a minor in Chemistry
My cumGPA is 3.75 (possibly 3.77, waiting on possible grade change)
My scGPA is 3.71 (3.75 if grade change is made)
I have not taken the Mcat yet but I plan on doing so very soon.
Extracurriculars:
-2.5 years working in a Biochem lab (no published papers or posters)
-Private tutor high-school level courses (biology and chemistry, including AP level bio and chem)
-Youth Minister (paid position) at local church for 4 years (managed the highschool classes, took care of everything from managing finances to event planning)
-Before I was paid as a youth minister I volunteered at our churches summer programs for the past 8 years.
Shadowed 2 physicians:
-Pediatrician: 100+ hours
-Orthopedic Surgeon: sadly only 25 hours
-Neurologist: 75 hours
I know my Mcat score is crucial in determining where I get in, so what would be a decent Mcat score to really boost my app?
Assuming I get the said score, what are my chances for schools in California?
