Which shelf exam pairings make the most sense?

Hi everyone!

I will be taking my shelf exams in pairs, and I would like to schedule them in a way that makes the most sense. For these 6 specialties, which pairings work best? In other words, which specialties are the most similar to each other or will be the most efficient to prepare for when scheduled together? So far, the following are some example pairings I am considering. Thanks so much everyone!

Obgyn, Pediatrics
Family Medicine, Psychiatry

I would probs pick option 3..having IM first in the other options would be extremely difficult. May also be worth factoring in what you want your best scores to be as they will inevitably improve as your year progresses. I avged above 90th percentile but had the hard ones like FM, IM, Surgery at the end of my year.

Thanks so much for the response! There is a chance I may have to do IM in the first pairing and FM in the last one, so I have been contemplating which shelf exams would be the best to pair with each of those in particular.

Out of the 6 specialties, which 2 shelf exams would you say are the most similar? I've heard IM and Surgery are similar, but I've also heard that IM and FM (as well as IM and Pediatrics) have some overlap. Also, do the obygn and pediatrics shelves have any overlap?

OB and Psych are islands of their own. All the rest could have any question on any of the exams pretty much.
