Again SAME lol and Towson or Advent health in Orlando. How about you?
Have you heard anything yet? I’m so nervous 😩

I just received the email stating I was waitlisted 🙁 It's definitely not what I wanted to hear, but I'm glad to be done waiting for the email lol. I hope you get notification of your acceptance soon!

Has anyone declined an acceptance because you haven't heard back from the schools you really wanted to go to? I declined my one offer but then two days later received an email saying I was waitlisted at one school and have to wait until late January to hear back from the second school I want to go to!! I hate waiting so long, getting extremely anxious and feel like I made a mistake now :/
No, because I knew I would be so mad at myself if I didn’t get into other programs! I heard back from a school in September (1st acceptance) and put down the $750 (!!!) deposit to save my spot because I knew I would regret it otherwise. Fortunately, I got into the school I wanted but don’t regret putting down the deposit. Highly recommend you do the same from now on!!

I got in and I’ll be sending good vibes your way that you get in soon!!

In previous years it seems like people could ask where they are on the waitlist and they will say which third of the waitlist you are on. We have to submit our answers by January 6 so I hope they email you soon with great news!

Hi everyone! This might not be the right thread to post this to (new to this site) but does anyone have any insight regarding why some masters programs are 23 or 24 months and others are 2 years plus 8 or 9 months? I could get a doctoral degree from one school in the exact same timeframe as receiving a masters at two of my other schools and I'm curious why these differences are in place. Thanks!

Hi! This could be it's own discussion thread, but I think it's fine to ask here.

I think that it really depends on how the program is set up. Some programs are part-time or weekend programs for people who want to work during school. Others have determined that their program is better suited for their students if it's more spread out.

Yes, you can get a doctorate in a similar amount of time, but other factors like cost of tuition and the nature of your coursework should also be considered in your decision to pursue a master's instead of a doctorate. From what I understand, an OTD education focuses more heavily on research and academics, while Master's programs are more focused towards practical or experiential education. Doctoral programs are more expensive because universities can charge a higher price, even if they're a similar length to a Master's program.

To anyone who applied to temple program, how long did it take for you to receive an interview? Getting nervous because I was accepted for wideners program but turned it down because that wasn’t my first pick, now I’m waitlist at one school and most likely will be waitlisted at another since some students already have been accepted 😫
Hi! I applied to Temple in early October and didn’t hear back for an interview until December 8th. I interviewed on December 17th and was accepted on December 22nd. Good luck!!!

I got accepted to Belmont back in November and I would say for the interview just def be yourself! I didn't get any tricky questions. It is two different interviews and they are both super short so don't stress, they just want to get to know you and why you are interested in pursing this degree. Good luck on your interview!!

Thank you so much! I would agree with futureot198; just be yourself! Both of my interviewers seemed to be genuinely interested in getting to know me as a person and why I am choosing to become an OT. I can't remember specific questions, but I do remember that there were a few on how I would handle conflict resolution. Overall, I felt that this was the best interview I had just because the faculty were so welcoming and they really do want to get to know you as a person! Good luck on your interview!! 🙂

Does anyone know if I haven't heard from Jefferson about an interview yet and I applied mid-August, does that mean I most likely won't get one at this point? Jefferson is easily my top choice but I'm not sure if I should still have hope for it at this point! Does anyone know if their seats are filled?
I applied for the Center City Day Program.

Hey everyone! I'm super excited to finally be going through the application process for OT school and wanted to make a thread so that we can all follow each other's progress during this process, ask questions, and support each other along the way! I saw a thread with this same idea a few years back and thought it was a really simple way to do just this! I have provided a general outline below that we can all start with. Good luck everyone!

Update:
Got into WashU today! Interviewing with MUSC on 1/22. Gave up my spot at Belmont and put a deposit down at Tufts.

Some people have already recieved their acceptances! Also anxiously waiting for a decision!

Has anyone heard back from UIC recently? I know a handful of people got acceptances at the end of November, but I haven’t seen anyone post denials/waitlists/acceptances after that date (believe it was 11/25?).
This wait is killing me!!!!
I haven’t heard anything either! But I fortunately already got into my top choice 😬

That's crazy!! I remember reading on their webpage that they would start reviewing in November so it makes sense that some people have already heard back 😢

Yeah they sent emails on Friday! I didn’t get anything. I guess I didn’t make the cut for the early application round but the final deadline is January 15th so perhaps there is still a chance for us!? Waiting is the worst though!!!

Hi all! I am not expecting to hear back from CSU until March/April, but SUNY Downstate forwarded my application to the OT program nine weeks ago and I've heard nothing. Just finished A&P at the end of December so maybe that was why, but should I just give up now? Is this kind of wait normal just for the interview?

Has anyone heard anything from Pacific University? I submitted at the end of October and have only received a confirmation email.

Hi!

I have an interview at Hofstra in a couple weeks! Do you know if they are at capacity for students in their program? And have any advice for the interview?

Thanks!

Hi!

I am not sure if they are at capacity. I have heard of many other people being waitlisted as well though. I think that they probably have spots left if they are still interviewing!! For the interview we were split into groups of about 5 and talked to two staff where they asked all interviewees the same questions and then after we switched to another 2 staff members where they again asked us the same questions. I felt it was be a little hard to stand out if I was asked the same question last out of 5 people, so definitely try to be creative with your answers. I don't remember specific questions because my interview was a few months ago but I just reviewed OT interview questions and none of the questions really threw me off so you should definitely be good 🙂 Good luck!

For those of you that submitted a video essay for Nova, how long did it take for them to reach out to you after your video submission?

How exciting! I did ultimately decide to go to Chatham in the fall so I will not be attending Moravian. Good luck with everything!
I had a question about UF im thinking about applying but do you know when the last time we can take prereq classes is? or when they have to be completed by?
