I really hope we hear from some schools sunday. The waiting is killing me...😱 😱 😱 😱

I interviewed there last year and thought I did well. Guess not. They won't even invite me back. I've made quite a bit of improvements in my app as well.
On another note, I'd rather be nervous over interview results than not having had a single allopathic interview this late in the game.
I was just curious thats all. I'm sure everything will go fine Fiibuster just hang in there 🙂

Does anyone know if USF sends letters informing of waitlisting? Or is it just a call/email? Thanks.
Late in the game? The interview season begins in mid-September and goes through March/April....we are still very early -- still scheduling for mid-November.....
You are freaking me out dude!
I keep telling myself that SDN is really skewed towards the uber gunners and their ilk, but still....you are freaking me out!
gujuDoc - are you applying this cycle?I've had quite many friends who interviewed between Januray and March and got into USF.
at FSU you do not pay the application fee and submit the FSU application (general) until you have already beed accepted. This is the general school's application, not the secondary. I guess filling it out would be a kind of acceptance of their acceptance.
Ok, I follow you guys. In that case, I suggest that you wait as long as you can to fill out the form and pay the money, but make sure to pay it by whatever deadline they set unless you've decided for sure not to attend FSU by that time. Say they set April 15 as the deadline to pay/fill out the form. You turn in your money and form on April 15, and at that point, you're planning to attend FSU and you're not holding any other acceptances. But maybe you're still on some waitlists at other schools. If you get in off one of those waitlists later, you can still withdraw from FSU after April 15 and attend another school, but if you do, FSU will probably keep your money. Since it's only $36, I wouldn't sweat it. (Some other schools do the same thing but make you deposit $100 or $200.) No matter how much the school makes you put down as a deposit, they can't force you to attend their school even after you've paid the deposit as long as you haven't officially matriculated yet. I mean, imagine if you get into your top choice school off the waitlist the day after your money was due to FSU! People get accepted to schools off waitlists up until the day before school starts, and some of them decide to drop everything and make a total change of plans just like that. So if you get into the school of your dreams in, say, June after paying FSU in April, you are still free to pick the school you want.rabiya said:No, I'm not ED. I don't mean med school school application or secondary. I mean the application FSU itself that you have to turn in after your accepted with like a $36 fee. They said once you pay that $36, its binding.
P.S. I also want to wish everyone luck tomorrow. 🙂Good luck everyone!!!!!!
UVCE,
No I'm possibly applying next year. We'll see how my postbac goes. I've been doing as Mrs. Jackson has been advising me to do. Anyhow, we'll see what happens.
Good luck to this years people.

However, once you matriculate and actually start attending orientation, that's a different story. Say orientation starts on July 1 at FSU, and you get a call from your favorite school from the waitlist during the first day (on July 1). That's too bad. If you've shown up for the first day of orientation at FSU, then you have officially matriculated there, and NOW you are locked into attending FSU. You can't withdraw from FSU once you've started school there to go somewhere else. You should also consider that if you do withdraw from FSU last minute, it means that they will have to find someone to replace you, and yeah, they probably won't be very happy about it. Don't withdraw last minute from schools on a whim; IMO you should have a very good reason (ex. major differences in financial aid, closer to family if you're married, etc.) if you decide to change schools the week before orientation starts.
Does that make sense?
I'm pretty sure REL said he was going to shoot us an email tomorrow, not call. All of which is totally fine with me, as it will be Sunday and not an actual business day.

Right. Like I said, they'll probably keep your money, but you can still go somewhere else after you've paid to hold your spot as long as you haven't actually started attending orientation yet. 🙂I asked about the $30/holding spot during my interview day and she said that we are required to pay the $30 within 2 weeks of acceptance...as our way of "accepting" the acceptance. If we choose to later attend another school, we may certainly withdraw and all we lose is $30. Dont stress 🙂
Does anyone know if we will hear from schools on 15th (Sunday) or 16th? Do all florida schools let us know by then (if accepted)?
Anybody know what time we should check our emails? Its seems like I'm going to hit to send and receive button an hundred times today!!!

I don't know. I've already checked like 15 times. I was hoping to know this morning. Guess we'll keep waiting. GL to you!
Really? Almost all mine are time-stamped before 11AM.
Either way, 10:40 and still no news. Maybe I'll cook something.
Last year, REL emailed me on Saturday morning (Oct. 15). UF called by phone on Saturday morning. Can't tell you what FSU or Miami do on Oct. 15. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear.USF for sure by email as Mr. Larkin told us. I'm not sure UF calls, but I saw they did last year and oct 15th was a Saturday.
Yeah, I went to church this morning, and I thought when I got home there'd be something. No such luck. I have a small group mtg this afternoon, for which I need to leave by 5:15. I realllllly hope I hear before then from USF.

So if USF doesn't send out an email today, do you think they will call tomorrow? It seems strange that they wouldn't send out an email, when he specifically send he would!
I concur. I think it's very strange that we haven't heard anything today from them. Maybe it'll come later this evening (at least I'm still holding out hope for today).
