Who's applying to Florida schools?

Yeah, as the day's worn on, I find myself checkin' it less and less. I'm sure I'll check it once or twice more before I head out around 5 for most of the evening.
 
so I posted a couple of pages back that I got rejected from Miami, presumably because my GPA was a couple hundreths of a point below their grad GPA cutoff. I dont want to beat a dead horse, but I just got my MCAT back, and got a fairly solid score, a 33. Does anyone think it would be worthwhile to send some type of letter attempting to appeal the rejection, or will it be futile. Other than that GPA problem, I feel Im a solid applicant.

Their desicion is more than likely final, although you lose nothing giving it a shot. If you are really interested send a letter or email to Dr. Hinkley.

It will not hurt and is worth a try. You paid the secondary fee already, they rejected you, so what is worse they can do.

Yeah I find myself losing hope in finding out today!
 
5pm and the BUCS won...I was hoping to hear some winning information for USF by this time!

October 15 may be an important day for pre-meds but I guess it is just another day for med school administrators. Sunday is a day off for them they go to church or other place of worship and they have families and obligations that they have to take care of and weekend in the only time to do it. Stupid me, why did not I think of this, now I can rest and wait for Monday, October 16th. Good luck to you all!
 
I hear from UF tommorrow, FSU tuesday, and USF wednesday. I feel the pain with you guys, I am incredibly nervous right now.

Good luck TPROrg Tutor. There is a good possibility that all of them will accept you, in that situation may I ask you where will you go and why?

I for some reason recall asking him the same thing and remembering him say something about USF but that it would be tough to decide between UF and USF.

I tried searching for the post where I asked the same question but couldn't find it.

I honestly don't know where Ill go. I haven't wanted to think about it much yet as I do not want to be dissappointed if I do not get in there. I just know Ill be devastated if I do not get into one of my Florida schools...

I would suggest that people who think they got an acceptance from USF check their email.

Did you check your email and get good news from USF???
 
Definitely got waitlisted by USF. However, that's totally fine because, while USF was my #3, UK was my #2 (possibly tied with my #1, ETSU). So, as soon as I get my official letter from UK, I'll be withdrawing from the waitlist.

Congrats to those who heard good news from USF.

Yeah i was pretty sure but I wondered if I got the right impression, I guess I did after all 🙂. One of my best friends got in as well, hes not part of sdn though.

I'll probably hear from Miami on Thursday and from FSU on Tuesday. My interview at USF is this week, so I won't be hearing from them real soon. I am still eagerly waiting for an invitation from UF.
