Just want to explain why I didn't get to vote last night - I had planned to do it before I went to bed in case anyone had good info or a better idea than my random guessing but I fell asleep before I got the chance. Literally fell asleep at my desk writing up Cardioresp notes. 🙁

I think this is a really good idea, totally missed CFC calling out Katniss at death. But would it work the other way too? Would Katniss get powers if she found her Peeta, or is it moot now that Peeta has been killed? On the same lines, maybe Katniss has to confront Haymitch to get him to sober up (as in book one)? What if Libster and Katie's ailments were/are not the same? Maybe Libster was bitten by a trackerjacker and hence why it wore off eventually...

I really have nothing more than that right now. I don't have a clue who to lynch. My vote will definitely be earlier tonight, but no where near the deadline.
 
Packen, I think those are good ideas. I have to get off now, but I will respond more on that later.

I think that the Peeta + Katniss = special ability is a valid theory. However, I think you guys are getting stuck on why CFC was killed.

I mean, I know I look like a logical target right now but I'm just a tribute. I had absolutely no idea that CFC was Peeta. If she was lynched because of her role then one of the wolves has an investigatory item or had an investigatory ability. We can't forget that it's also possible that she was randomly targeted.

Obviously you don't have to believe me (wolves lie, after all) but if I'm still alive tonight then I'd encourage anyone with an investigatory item/ability to use it on me. If I'm not, well, then you'll see that I'm telling the truth.

Didn't Dyachei say that this was based mainly on the first book? So I guess natural disasters would be possible but the arena clock wouldn't be?

I've got to run to surgery now -- not sure when we'll be done, but don't be suspicious if it's not until 4 or 5. In any case I'll be back in time to figure out my vote. In the meantime I hope we get some good ideas or some solid information on who to lynch!

hold up you guys. lissa voted for that redhead yesterday, but SOV said that lissa also cleared that redhead. lissa died last night so she couldn't have cleared that redhead and voted for her as well.

at least, it doesn't make sense to me.

Ooh, good catch! SOV is looking more and more suspicious. Since krist confirmed SOV's story, would that make krist suspect as well?

now she says she chose redhead via random number generator, but you'd think if she had cleared her she would, you know, run the RNG again or take her off of the list to run the RNG on or somesuch.

Yea, she would not lynch a tribute just because her RNG told her to. Something is not adding up.

I agree with both of you - there's no way a tribute would vote to lynch someone they KNEW was also a tribute just because of a RNG. That makes no sense whatsoever, she'd remove cleared players from her list.

Can I explain how Lissa got it? No I can't.

As I said before, I don't think she was a seer herself. But her info has checked out in my mind, and she is dead and proven not a wolf.

You can choose to believe it or not, I don't care.

But you guys over analyze everything. And it has killed you no wolves.

As a wolf, I would gain nothing by picking random players to clear because the minute I did that, the real seers would (and should) check on me to be sure. Let a seer check out any of the info, I am sure it will come back clean. Me, krist, redhead, dvm. I believe the info. Lissa had no reason to lie.

And anyone who says I am a wolf is wrong. Lynch them and you will have killed a wolf.

End of story.

How could it come last night when she died last night? I believe that investigation is a night activity, not a daytime one.

I don't think it's over-analyzing, it's really a pretty simple thing to look at.

So we've gotten to either Lissa had a bad source of info, or you and/or krist are lying. Either way, you're suspect.

She didn't tell us that info until nighttime. Hell, I voted to lynch that redhead once as well. You get new info you change your decisions.

You guys are OVER-ANALYZING this. It is driving me crazy.

You are really going to discourage people from posting info with this attitude.
Not everything is so straight forward in these games.
 
Sov is right, Lissa pmed us last night after she got the info, before the night deadline when she was killed. Check us out if you want to, but we know Lissa wasn't a wolf so I trust her info

Not everything is deducible by analysis when you don't have all the info.
therefore not straightforward.
therefore over-analysis is bad.

Inconsistency is not equal wolf. It just means inadequate info.

I do not have all the info so cannot clear up the inconsistency for you guys.

And I was going to stay away from checking this thread obsessively today. Sorry I checked now.

I would argue that pointing out inconsistency is better than just saying "well this person seems to be 'laying low' so I bet they're a wolf!"
 
Do we know the order in which she checked people? And if she voted for them before or after she supposedly cleared them?

Yes I know you answered already, and I appreciate that. I was just commenting that I feel it was a pretty obvious inconsistency and that's why we asked.

I'm still unsure, but don't feel comfortable voting to lynch either SOV or krist at this point. This game is harder than it looks when you're actually playing vs. observing.
 
For now, I think I am going to go ahead and trust SOV and krist info. By sharing the info they did open themselves up to investigation which I don't think a wolf would do. Yes there are some odd inconsistency, but we do know that lissa was a tribute that is a fact and I don't think a tribute would knowingly vote for another tribute to be lynched, so I am going to go with what SOV is saying that the info pertaining to thatredhead some how came to lissa before she died. Anyways... that is where I am at now.

At the beginning yeah, but then it got so convoluted, I couldn't follow it anymore. I only knew 2 of the wolves so I was as lost as you guys from time to time.

But I figured there were 2 groups from the start b/c of the small amount of wolves. And the other death the first night.

Don't know if there are 2 groups this game. They could just as well be allowed to kill 2 people at a time. That is how i would run the game as a moderator with so many people. Otherwise it would last forever.

So we maul random people and end up killing tributes, but when we start trying to use logic to figure out who the wolves are we are over-analyzing?😕 I'm sorry if I started suspicion of you SOV if you actually are a tribute, but I'm just trying to figure out who these wolves are. Nothing personal but we are all just trying to protect ourselves at this point and no one has proven their innocence until we actual get a wolf in my opinion.

Nothing personal at all.

Y'all have lynched people for lots of reasons in these 3 games. Except in 1 case (whose details I don't recall, I think in my game), none of the so called "logic" worked.

We win the game by putting out the information we know communally. And then cross-checking that information. We need to make an environment where that is encouraged. Not where you lynch because it all doesn't add up, because it rarely does. Almost all the lynchings in these 3 games are attacking someone for something they said, and that reason is almost always been proved wrong.

Wolves don't throw a lot of info out because they prefer confusion. It works in their favor.

Cross check my info, but stop voting to lynch people when they are trying to add to the information. The more things overlap the more confidence you have. And you know I will share what I learn in the future, and those of you who have checked my info will know I too am among the innocents on the list I am trying to create.

If you lynch me, you will have done the wolves a favor by continuing to create an environment of fear. Then the terrorists win.

FWIW, I was the leading vote getter to be lynched in the other game at the deadline, but there were only 3 votes placed so the deadline was extended. Today is not my day😳.

Reminds me of the expression in Japanese that says roughly:
"the nail that sticks out gets hammered".

Ok just got back from a day out in the mountains of Ireland with my dad (who is visiting from the states), so still trying to catch up on everything. Looks like the maul vote will occur past my bedtime (4 or 5 am), but I will make a decision based on something :laugh: before I go to bed later.

One thing SOV is right about. I have been talking a lot in both games and it seems that people like to vote for me because of that..

Katie8, if you are Haymitch, will you please stop drinking and help the rest of the tributes?

Maybe if a few people ask Katie to stop drinking, it will work?
