Geez a lot happened while I was sleeping - the entire board blew up. You all went nuts! :laugh:

and looks like we lost another tribute to a failed mauling 🙁

the only pin I can think of is the mockingjay pin! and I am not sure what type of power it would have - maybe protective? I dunno as it was never used in battle - Katniss just wore it. 😕

Ok going along with the "things" theme, and not having read the books really, trusty Wiki helped me make this list of potentials:
- Katniss' skill with a bow and arrow
- The bread from Rue's district
- Mockingjay pin
- Survival pack
- The poisonous berries that Peeta and Katniss were going to use to commit suicide.
-Jabbeyjays
-Tracker jackers

Thoughts? Do people who have read the books think any of those items we haven't seen might be important in this game?

Going off of what you said, I wonder if the jabberjays are an investigative item. The poisonous berries may be kind of like the apple from the last game. And don't forget about the rum that makes the person act drunk. I'm working 8-6 today with a staff meeting during lunch. I'll try to sneak my phone into the laundry room to catch up on what's going on, though!
 
I'm suspicious of Nyanko even more now. She asks who has the pin, suggesting she knows it exists in the game. My thought is she had it yesterday, used it, and was silenced by using it. Which doesn't necessarily make her a wolf, but asking who has it makes me wonder if she's trying to out that person so the wolves can get them. Whoever has the pin, I'd suggest you keep quiet.

I'm assuming we have until tonight to lynch so I'll hold off for now, but Nyanko is definitely on my radar for now.
 
Maybe the rum is like a silencer. They can kind of talk, but not really.
 
It is yet another morning in the arena. The tributes wake up warily, certain that the capitol has thrown a curve ball at them, as it has in games past. They are beginning to get hungry, sleepy, and unsure of themselves.

Some of them had stayed up later, singing songs into the darkness, coming together in a way that only desperate people can. It is that redhead that finds the first body. kanderson, a tribute, lies dead at the campfire. Perhaps somebody did not like her song. As the other tributes awaken, they call for justice and defense of their comrades. They demand it of lissarae, but she is nowhere to be found. It is only moments later that they see her lying in a small clearing, stabbed multiple times. lissarae, a tribute and your mayor, is dead.

This is still bothering me from yesterday, though it's the part about being pretty sure I'm not a wolf and still voting to lynch me anyway. I'm well aware Nyanko feels I'm not trustworthy, but is that enough reason to want to kill a tribute you're "pretty sure isn't a wolf"?

I'll change my vote if someone presents some compelling evidence. But, in case I can't come back later,

That really is weird. Wanting to lynch someone just because you don't like them? If you know one person is a wolf, don't waste the vote on them unless your plan really is to kill tributes.
 
1) i found pin yesterday, lost pin today.

2) i was obviously not silenced because i voted yesterday.

3) if i were a wolf would i honestly make it that blatantly obvious that i was lynching somebody i was pretty sure was a tribute? i'm not an idiot. she just pissed me off.

i found it at the beginning of a day cycle so somebody else probably has it now. if we assume wolves can't have it, that person should be able to clear me as a tribute.

Maybe it keeps you save from a wolf attack? That could be why you felt at ease. You didn't have to worry about being killed. Or did you lose it before the night cycle?
 
also nicely played by the wolves - if i were a wolf i probably would have gone after kanderson too. to make a point. and additionally, to make gullible people suspicious of me being a wolf. :meanie:

I will tell you all the info that LissaRae passed on to me.

She had cleared thru investigation:
DVMdream
that redhead
krist
Me

She said the mockinjay pin "puts you at ease". She also said none of those people had any items when they were investigated.

I do not know how she got that information. That she kept to herself. But now that she is dead, I am sure that she was not a wolf and was telling me the truth.

If we can believe Emiloo:
emiloo and nordicat are cleared.

That is 6 people who we know are not wolves. Let's try not to lynch any of these innocent villagers. I think krist can confirm my info above.

I think our mayor should be one of these, so I say:
Elect DVMDream

She has been cleared by LissaRae and emiloo..
Only person with 2 confirmations.

I lost it after the night cycle. I was thinking it might be protective as well, but I really have no idea.
 
If DVM really was cleared by two people, then I think it is save to vote that way.

Unelect Trematode, elect DVM.

It's who I changed my vote to on the first day also. lol
 
And now that Kanderson is no longer with us, may she RIP, I can let you know that she told me she had a survival pack with some leaves in it. Have NO idea what that is about aside from camouflage sort of thing, but it obviously couldn't save her. Just thought I would put that out on the table.
 
Also, if you got/get an item to investigate people, please post your results after you lose the item, or earlier. Items are less of a reason for a wolf to attack you, especially if you already lost it.

Add to my list. We can't trust that until it is confirmed by someone else, but it helps to build a group we can trust. If someone posts they had the item the same days as you, then the wolf is outed, so it is unlikely a wolf can add to the list (but not foolproof).

This is an effective way of preventing innocents from lynching.

The wolves may "kill the messenger" but the joke will be on them!
 
Just got back from bringing my poor monster for his second eye surgery in two months 🙁 and thought I'd pop in real quick to make sure I wasn't mauled by wolves for investigating 🙄.
and wow I'm still here! 🙂 I bet Kanderson's singing is the only thing that saved me :laugh::laugh:.
I completely agree with the rest of you, and know for a fact from my investigating that DVMDream is a tribute!

Unless if a wolf gets hold of it it makes them look like a Tribute in an investigation??

I'd like to find out how to get katie8 sober... libster had the rum in the beginning, right? I think I'll go back to when she had it and see if I can find any clues about how she lost it.

Maybe wolves can find investigative items to find out who would better be killed. That way they are saved from being investigated by a wolf.

Katie posted the last time before dyachei posted the results. Night time is officially over when results are posted. Maybe she doesn't have it anymore now, but is too busy with something else to post here.
 
In SOV's game, the lead wolf had investigative powers as far as I could tell. Obviously this is a different game, just putting that out there.
 
Sorry katie8, I've got nothing. Nothing at all happened between libster's drunken post and then katie8's first drunken post. No one said anything about libster until after the rum had changed hands. I have no clue how we sober katie8 up.

Like I said a few posts up, she probably is already sober. She just hadn't had time to post here yet once the day cycle started.

I don't want to spend too much time on-line today (way behind in work after being sick last week), so I will start the lynch vote with

She doesn't say much, but isn't completely quiet. Very wolf-like to me. I think Wolves are being smart to keep a low profile in a game with so many people We end up over-analyzing everything the few people talking are saying.

I agree about the over analyzing thing. Sometimes I feel like we're so eager to find a wolf that we take what one person says, and find 7 different motives in a simple statement lol. I'm not ready to vote yet, but ky###### seems like someone to watch. SOV was a wolf, so I trust what he thinks is wolf-like.

If this is a legit question and not mindless rambling, meat tenderizer works wonders. Wet it enough to make a paste and then but it on the sting. Tobacco works good, too.

Legit Q about the sting. It's on the pad of my right middle finger. Makes typing very difficult. Will try the tenderizer when I get home. Silly me for trying to brush a bee/wasp out of my hair.

...wonder if tobacco is what they use in the games, as D12 is appalachia>

And one more thing to attempt to defend myself before I have class all day and might not be around.

I asked if anyone had lost the pin, not if anyone currently had it. Because I currently had it. And I figured if anyone knew what I was talking about for sure, they'd probably be a tribute. (which by the way, Lissarae knew what the pin was and was a tribute)

Maybe wolves can have the pin too, but that was my reasoning for asking if anyone had lost it.
