Only considering original Descartes members. So you and WZ. Not a fan of you but I don't think we will get anywhere if we only stick to this philosophy for lynches. Also think it's interesting that this is what DVMD was saying and now she was a wolf kill. I think it may be related.

I haven't felt confident about a lot of Hatari dwellers. Despite LIS's opinion, I haven't gotten the same village vibe from FFM. Haven't had anything on Jilary to think of as being village.

I think I have more village reads from those on Cthulu like genny and kara (and STL, now I see he moved there).

Okay, so I bought the pm ability from today. I chose to talk with sheltermed after it was clarified that I could communicate with someone from a different planet, but both the dead and the gatekeeper do not count as being from a different planet.

The full conversation is posted below in the spoiler tags for those that would be burdened by things. I was looking for her to do inconsistencies, and here is my TL;DR on the matter:
1) She claims magician and we know a magician did the kill on the first night (other than the mech kill who was 99.9% known to be LoTF now). Dubz claims a hatari.
2)She is drawing a weird line on things that she assumes vs. things that she finds worth asking about. Especially with respect to the wolf questions
3)The description she provided contains no mention of being a villager, which doesn't match with mine. Don't really care too much about this because she has a role, I don't. The formatting is also different. Don't really care too much about this because Lupin would likely prevent villager code. What does irk me is that she claims she didn't get informed about being a villager, but does not bother asking Lupin whether she is a villager. Maybe it's just my experience as a mod, but any newer noob that was not explicitly told whether they are a villager has always asked me their affiliation.

You are a magician from Cthulu. You will be able to move worlds without offering up anything to the Gate Keeper.

How many people can you currently pm with?

None, this is a first for me in this game--hence a lot of questions in the thread

What world did you originate on?

I am "from" Cthulu but was on Descartes at the beginning of the game

What night abilities have you used so far?

I haven't used any. I moved freely to Hatari before we had a Gate Keeper, but that was it

How does the wolf pm normally work?

I don't have abilities other than to move without giving the gate keeper something, and I haven't purchased any abilities. Just to add on to that question.

I have no idea how the wolf pm works?? or even that there was one? this is my second game and I've never played a wolf.

Who are your top three current suspicions?

currently, of those alive, WZ and AM. Before that, I suspected DVMD but she was just killed, as you know

What affiliation are you?

I'm a villager. (if that's what affiliation is referring to, I think it can mean a few different things? I honestly don't know for sure)

How do you know you are a villager?

well, my original PM from Lupin didn't explicitly state it, but it also didn't say I could kill anyone or do anything of that sort, or that I could mess with the game in any other way, so I suppose I just assumed

How do you know you are not a wolf?

I can't kill people, and evidently (since you asked about it) am not part of a wolf PM.

Are all wolves able to kill people?

I dunno, I just assumed so. I don't want to keep pulling the noob card, but unfortunately it's the reason why I don't know much. It's not an act, I genuinely have no clue what I'm doing

Why make those assumptions when you asked about other things on the thread?

They just seemed like more "obvious" things than what I asked about on the thread. I probably should have just been honest about what I didn't know and asked anyway, though.

Why did you not ask lupin if you were a villager after your role went out?

I guess I thought it would be annoying. I guess it's her job as mod to answer things like that, but my self consciousness usually gets the better of me in situations like this, real life or not. I haven't really thought about these things until you brought them up, honestly!

You are reading waaaay too much into my responses. I didn't need to ask whether I was a villager. My initial PM (which you have) made it clear that I am not a wolf. I assumed things that were much more obvious/common sense, and I'm pretty sure my answers reflect that. I don't see the inconsistencies here.

The PM convo actually made me less confident in my vote for Shelter. She has always seemed a little odd to me on Rabbit (this is not meant in an offensive way btw), and a little bit sensitive about what others think. The assumptions she makes are not what I would expect from most people, and certainly not from the same planet that STL gets assumptions from. I would expect her way of thinking to be totally alien to the way you think, STL.

The way Shelter was responding this morning is what makes me think she's wolfy. These PMs make me want to look harder at the guy who moved to Hatari night 1 and thinks it's a reasonable gamble for wolves to hope their target moves to the right planet.

The only thing holding me back from thinking AM is suspicious is that trilt randomly picked her to be the gatekeeper. She had to have been a very unlucky pick to pick an unseerable wolf, and a seerable wolf would have half ***ed going for it or backed off completely.

So sheltermed vs. wildzoo, I am more inclined towards Dubz but curious what each has to say

Ehhh but wolves know that looks sketch. If I recall, trilt wasn't the only vote she had by the time she checked in. There was no graceful way to back out of that.

@SummerTheLynx weren't you the one who pointed out that Kam liked your post and was therefore lurking the thread during the discussion about moving to Hatari? So it would have been reasonable for wolves to assume she was going there? I think we need to be looking at the other Hatari inhabitants.

Also, I haven't seen WZ around today, which makes me think she's laying low. I've been all up in this thread (at least, to the best of my ability, given that I don't really think too much of what I say is going to be taken seriously), which, to my understanding, posting a bunch is uncharacteristic of a wolf?

Not much to elaborate on. I was told that I couldn't leave my house, and if anyone wanted to get in they couldn't either.

I'm not concerned about MJ right now. I do have reason for this. Could go AM, goose, or FFM today. FFM really just to get him talking more. Ny's few posts have been ok with me. Maybe I'm forgetting things but I really don't see FFM's posts so far having any more content than MJ's, so I'm a little confused on LIS's read.

I'm actually ok with most of this. The only thing that strikes me as odd is that she didn't ask lupin if she was a villager, because I've gotten that question as a mod a lot too and kind of expect it from newer players if it's not spelled out.

Hell I had to ask that question in HP when I was a lone wolf...

Man. I read that entire conversation and I gotta say, I'm with genny and SOV. It felt like how I'd expect a n00b villager to respond. And, as much as I <hate> 'villager code', it's worth noting that my role PM doesn't explicitly say villager either (just says 'vanilla').

It is true that it is day 4 and he hasn't delivered a wolf yet...would expect idiot savant to produce results by now But maybe his excuse is that he is vanilla and we didn't give him the gatekeeper role to "level the playing field" 😉

I would have thought someone with such self-proclaimed hunting skills would produce regardless of the handicap put upon them (vanilla). Isn't that what makes someone great? 🙂 The rest of us mere mortals, of course, require things like roles and abilities and luck.

I believe I said in my earlier post that I was leaning that way because I don't have good feels about him and I was hoping throwing a vote his way would bring him out of hiding. Also thought your read of him was weird when he had...one content post I think. I'm not really concerned about the trilt vote (that lynch is hard to read anyway since it ended early, but I understood why people were suspicious of her).

Really now? Let's take a look at the days.

Day 1 was a MAYOR vote, cant lynch a wolf there. Day two I ended on our serial killer while a bunch of y'all took out our seer. Day three I would have likely voted LoTF again after discussion but vote closed early. And now we are on today. So you are correct, I am a complete and utter failure for not netting us a wolf by day 3.

I will read back through the conversation. I will admit that I am a bit biased as I saw the separation of texts instead of a block of text, would be more like how a wolf would get it (role + at the end informing them about monies and whatnot). Also weird how she separated out the role and ability when asking for a copy and paste. But I will let that go, I shouldn't be looking at village code anyway to make my diagnosis.

My one concern with AM is she now likely has the armor and therefore a lynch avoidance, and that is something we should keep in mind as the game progresses.

I also almost want to lynch STL for the stupid villager code crap. And I want to smack shelter for just blindly trusting him and giving him her role description. I doubt he would have pulled that crap with a more experienced player because most of us won't give that info up unless absolutely necessary (I'm not sure what the vote count was at the time, so maybe it was necessary.)

But it makes it hard to pin you down on what you're thinking, which makes you at least appear more sketchy.

It was mentioned earlier, before the election, that the Gate Keeper would have to leave their post to use abilities. But I don't know if that includes kills.

In addition, they have the option to use an ability or item, and do not have the constraint of needing to be on that planet to use it on a target. However, if they choose to do this, the Gate will be left unguarded and anyone can pass without offering anything.
