Um, WTF, every villager in the game is a ho who needs to send a PM every night to pick a client. Letting people know you're trying to PM the mods isn't saying anything different than "I'm a villager."

... which a wolf would claim, too. So. No useful information.

Now I'm really confused. Either I'm totally missing something obvious that WTF realizes, or I have to wonder why WTF wouldn't realize that normal villagers would be sending PMs (as would, obviously, wolves).

WTF ... I don't get it. Explain? I don't see how revealing you're sending a PM in this game gives away anything useful.

Because of what I said above. Bringing it into the thread makes it seem like it's a big deal if the mod gets it or not.
 
Never mind then. I myself prefer to keep all that stuff out of the thread and not make it look like I'm worried if something hasn't gone through. I'm simultaneously playing the Lounge game and it's all getting muddled :/
 
Not sure what it was about last night, the alignment of the stars, or just random chance, but there was much more money flowing to the hands of the ladies of the night. More than one girl must be thinking of what shiny trinkets she can get with her money after their physical labors..

Unfortunately, those girlish dreams are quickly smashed when Nyanko, a practicing vet , is found robbed and dead with a note left on her body, saying: that "now, we never have to hear this, EVER again:"

Understandable. And here's a way to remedy the situation.

1) I still maintain that coming out on the thread and acting worried as to whether your PM went through potentially makes you a target. I stand by that. It makes you seem overly concerned. Call it paranoia, call it whatever. But considering this is a smallish game, every comment will be noticed.

2)All someone has to do is call on me during the night and they'll see I have hard-earned dough like any good working girl. We already disproven the theory that inability to pay makes you a wolf, but we haven't tested whether a wolf can act as a call girl. If you guys suspect me, I'd be happy to be the guinea pig and clear myself.

3)As we've learned so far, our roles differ depending on our reallife status (pre vet, vet student, veterinarians, etc). As a resident, my role is...interesting. I potentially have access to a large amount of funds. Not at this moment, though. Given that money seems to be lacking in this game, I wouldn't off a potential source of green.

As another aside, I know of two additional items because I've had them. Unsure if they have been mentioned already.

One is a coupon that allows you to buy something 50% off.

During the first cycle, evidently my "hair looked really good" :laugh: and I got an extra credit.

My guess would be that saying you are worth a lot of money or could be worth a lot of money is a way to make you wolf bait. Other players need to utilize you to get money for investigations. If wolves find out who the wealthiest johns are those are likely to become targets. I would think its just as bad to say you're worth a lot as it is to make a big stink about your pms going through.

Regarding point 2, I'm not sure what calling on you would prove - we can't use it to find out if you're a call girl because, for instance, if I pick you you're the John (Jane?), not the hooker, in the exchange.

On the other hand, I invite you to select me tonight as your client. If you can tell me how much you made off me that might be worth something. Not sure bee don't know that the wolves can't act as homers but it's a reasonable theory.

So. Make me yer a client. And if someone with $$ wouldn't mind protecting me so we can try this little experiment without the wolves interfering....

I think making it known you could be a lucrative John is far more likely to get you killed. Wolves don't want us to have cash for protection, investigation, etc.

No, they do not. DVMD was listed in the write-up as a Pre-Vet Student. She is definitely a Vet Student.

Again, what I said before - the only reason I'm volunteering it is because I'm on the chopping block. I also have enough money that I can protect myself if necessary right now. I welcome the wolves to call my bluff on this one.

That was my mistake then. I'm not as active as I used to be in the prevet forums and don't follow everyone's career status.

I think I need protection too. If you're not a wolf it behooves them to kill me to prevent this little experiment because you'd get lunched and they'd get two of us for no work.

If you are a wolf it may or may not make sense to kill me - all depends on whether there is worthwhile info on the other side of this experiment.

Either way I'd appreciate the protection just for tonight. God knows I can't afford it.

I'm feeling pretty suspicious of WTF, but I'm curious bout this experiment so I hate to lynch her until at least tomorrow.

But that leaves me with nobody. And the currently living player with the fewest posts (I'm still on board with SOV's "lynch the least active" approach) is Devyn. But that would isolate me completely.

This whole post screams at me. All 3 points you made. It sounds to me like you have ZERO idea what being a villager entails in this game. Which makes me think wolf.

If you were a villager, then you would know that all villagers have to PM every night and pick a client. NOT pick a *****. And you would also know, that the person who chose you as a client would not be able to see your bank account.

And you should also know that SOV would NEVER make it so easy by assigning roles as to what our 'real life status' is. Then everyone would know who would be giving out the big bucks. That would just be dumb and would make the game unbalanced. It's completely random what roles people received.

Devyn WAS flying. I think she landed yesterday, though? Usually, if she is a wolf she is much more active. She's only posted once, in the Lounge game, since posting in here. I'm guessing family stuff? :shrug:

I am actually quite conflicted at the moment and I am still trying to figure it the game dynamics. All I know is that my "clients" so far are not voting for WTF and I am more inclined to follow them (unless there is proof that wolves can be clients and you can make money off of them... did I miss that somewhere?)

As far as I know, everyone has to PM at night. Every villager needs to pick a client. I do not know what the wolves do.
 
Also, interesting that no one gave a reason for lynching me. RNG? Or theory? I would like to hear the theory, if there is one. Damn you, contingency votes!

It has been DISPROVED(by Jam lynch) that clients who stiff you🙂laugh🙂 are wolves. So I am guessing that there are wolves that appear to be 'normal' paying clients.

Thanks for clearing that up. It's hard to follow when you're working, travelling and doing family things.
I do not know what the heck I am doing ATM. Going to see how this plays out.

My "playing style" as of right now is playing the game based on my ever-growing understanding of it.

I attribute my lack of contribution due to my lack of understanding. However, if I may point out, my contributions are growing as my understanding does.

Just cuz I am new on the corner doesn't mean I don't have something to offer 😉
