Now, this is based on my experience, but this is specifically why I took LIS up on his offer.

So, we've had people killed.Where does their money go? I haven't seen any of it, and I doubt anyone else has either.

I believe that this money goes to the wolves because they have killed said person. This makes the most sense to me by far. Notice that certain things on that list such as handguns, lynch avoidance, etc are equally useful to both villager and wolf.

If wolves were also hookers and able to earn money that way, then I feel like the money situation would be very skewed in their favor. Being able to have essentially two "income sources" for them would put the villagers at quite a disadvantage, and I don't think SOV would do that.

This is what I am not understanding. If WTF chooses LIS tonight, then WTF gets whatever coin LIS gives out(unless more than one person chooses LIS, then the coin he gives out gets divided by however many people). LIS does not get told how many people chose him. So he will have no idea.

No one but WTF would know how much coin she got, and she could lie about it.

I correctly identify two items that were circulated to people who can act as hookers. At least one of which was not previously mentioned on the thread.

And I intend to prove that I am indeed a durty durty hobag with LIS tonight. Since you said it can be confirmed by someone (I think you said it was Trem?) I would also be happy to PM my results to Trem so I don't out them on the forum, and we can use this again to potentially catch wolves.

And to further defend myself, I don't believe that wolves can be both because of the economic implications I described.

If you guys think that SOV would be so generous to the wolves financially to have them both be able to act as hookers (all of them, however many there are) AND to gain coin whenever they kill someone (which I highly suspect is what is happening here since I don't think that money has come back into circulation - if anyone got bonuses after the kills let me know, and I'll retract my theory).

It doesn't prove my theory; when I said this is why I specifically took him upon it, it is because I believe it is a solid theory and plan to prove myself using both it and him (proving that I'm a hooker). We do not believe they can be hookers, but they can be johns. We've said that all along, though. So, I don't know why you are going on about it. They wouldn't have two incomes, because they wouldn't go looking for 'clients'. Hence, not having to send a PM in looking for 'clients/johns'.

I'm wondering if someone 'chose' a wolf as a client, if something different happens, than if they chose a villager. Obviously, being stiffed isn't a clue. But maybe something else?

Buying investigations can't be the only way to find a wolf.(can it?) Based on my finances, and apparently others', not many investigations are going to happen. And definitely, not many this early in the game.

I'm not taking a position on your assertion about the money, because I don't agree with your fundamental assertion that "it has to go somewhere". Why would you say that? Why could SOV simply say "Ho X was killed by wolves, their money goes away."

To me, that's no more or less likely than "Ho X was killed by wolves, the wolves get the money."

The only thing to support your comment I can find is the comment in DVMD's write-up about her bank account being empty. But that could be from a few different reasons (your assertion that the wolves are taking the money off dead ****** is definitely one possibility).

That said - I agree that there ought to be some way other than buying investigations. Unless I'm in the minority with my crappy luck making money, we aren't going to get many investigations.

Like I said, it is just what makes sense to me. If SOV took the time to divide money between multiple hookers if they visit the same john, I would imagine it would operate more like a real economy. Just making the money "go away" and having what are evidently paltry amounts generated would mean that the total amount of money in circulation would likely remain low. I would posit that if a wolf is killed, the money would be redistributed randomly. I know it's a theory. But I just can't see how we'd ever get a lot of money if it just kept "disappearing" and only small amounts generate every cycle. It would take forever to build any money up, until maybe a windfall when a baddie is killed? Or by from some other source?

Most of this is just me trying to figure out how any of us will build up enough cash to buy crap.

I think it has more to do with luck.it would take a lot of effort to make sure that a fixed amount stays in circulation.

I do know that some people are worth a little, some a lot, and some fluctuate in value.

People are going to crap. It doesn't have to go to anyone in particular.

Also, me outing LIS' value has three scenarios: we both get the same or we both get a different amount from LIS. If you come back and say something different, LIS' value fluctuates or one of us is lying.
