That's the date.

(I.e., date of interview or date of when we were informed we were waitlisted.)

does anybody know if once you're ranked on a waiting list, and you send in updates (new mcat score, updated spring semester grades, extra lor, etc.) does the committee re-rank you if you become a more competitive candidate?
or do you pretty much stay in the same position on the list?

I think this is dependent upon the school and upon the nature of the update. An extra LOR isn't going to be as significant as a new MCAT score. Spring semester grades are required but probably won't make too much of a difference if they're not significantly better than your previous grades.

For me, my MCAT score is my strength, so re-taking it isn't going to do me any good. I am submitting spring grades and an "update" LOR because those seem to be the best things I can do to help myself. One admissions director said that he encourages sending updates, but only if they're significant (i.e., don't bombard him with 20 pieces of paper on his desk when 1-2 significant ones would do just fine.)

I was under the impression that 2/26 ment waitlisted on February 26 2007. Correct me if Im wrong.

Sorry. I didnt update the webpage before I replied. 2/26 IS the date.

The dates indicate that date you were placed on the waitlist (or told you were on one). THis just gives info. as to how long people have been on the list.

Actually 2/26 is when I interviewed. I can't remember the exact date when I was waitlisted... it was about a week from then.

I was in contact with Roger Corban at Touro NV, who gave me my "top third" rank, but said no movement had happened, yet. I emailed him back, asking if there was a time when those accepted had to "declare" so as to make that list move.

We'll see.

When I saw your post, I checked my e-mail, and found out that I am in the "top third" as well.

But that's top third out of 190...which means Top 64 students. For a class of 134. Which means I would need almost half the class to withdraw, to be ensured a spot. Which isn't great news, but it's better than not being in the top third.

Join the facebook group. Get to know the class there are like 145 members in the facebook group from the c/o 2011 already...

Plus, since about two months ago when I created it, there is also a PCOM network on facebook... all you need is your pcom email...

I look forward to meeting you... let me know if there is anythign that I can do... I'm excited to go to PCOM so I've pretty much asked a ton of questions which means you don't have to Feel free to PM me.

Hi everyone... right now I'm waitlisted at LECOM, LMU-DCOM, and WVSOM. Has anyone gotten off of any of these waitlists yet (sorry if you've already posted that you've been accepted, I just kind of skimmed this thread).

In that post right about yours, there is a couple which means they got on, or acceptances from them. No one I know has heard from LECOM yet. I certainly hope it's soon!!
