for those who have been accepted, do we just have to respond with a "hold my spot" or "don't hold my spot" within 2 weeks? it doesn't look like we have to send a deposit yet or anything...just want to make sure 🙂

I just typed up a letter that basically said thank you, and I accept the acceptance, lol. No deposit!

What does the interview day consist of? Solely the two interviews? The email I got stated that it should only be about 2 hours long.

no deposit needed, just a "please do/don't hold my spot" email.

the interview was pretty laid back...i was there for about 2 hours...i got there, chatted with cindy warren for a few minutes (she is great, btw), then had 2 interviews with faculty members (each about 30-40 min)

each interviewer was very nice, and was more interested in me as a person...there were a few questions about potential weaknesses in my application, but it was mostly to get a clarification so they can be your advocates for the adcom...mostly we chatted about reading, sports, hobbies, etc.

after the two interviews we talked with ms. warren a little more, then went over to the clinical building where 2nd year classes are held...then we were free to go 🙂 not bad at all -- everyone was very helpful and friendly

just withdrew from my interview spot, OOS. hope it goes to someone else waiting from OOS!

All seems quiet from Marshall. Has anyone who interviewed in December heard anything yet??

No, I think they said it would be late January, early February before they release anything.

OOS. Filled out the secondary in early october and got an interview invite on january 6. The interview on january 23 was low stress and my interviewers and Cindy Warren were very nice! I was told I would hear back at the end of february.

Got an email this weekend saying they would call all OOS accepted students by 3/1. All waitlisted will receive an email.

looks like next Tuesday evening is THE night for phone calls!

Do they meet on Tuesdays? or does the leap year give them another day?!
They usually meet on Tuesday. Tuesday evenings are when most of the calls for IS went out. Although I looked at last year, and the calls for OOS went out on 3/16, which I believe was a Wednesday evening. So all is not lost if we don't hear tonight!

Any OOS get a phone call this evening? I hope it's tomorrow, because I didn't get a call 😕

Hey guys,

I just received the "accepted" phone call from Cindy! She said she is in the process of making the 25 calls this morning. I wish everyone the best. For those interested, I will post my stats below. Keep in mind that I am a non-traditional student which probably plays a big roll. Out of my interviews, I had the best experience at Marshall. However, it is the furthest school from home and I have a child, so I will probably attend the in-state school into which I was accepted last week. I hope this will open up another spot for someone who can attend, but I wanted to update the thread that calls are being made.

Just e-mailed Cindy to give up my IS acceptance. Hope one of you gets the seat!

I spoke with Cindy this morning and withdrew my application and OOS acceptance. For those of you still waiting, she said there are about 50 OOS folks on the wait list and in about 2-3 weeks they will start filling the 25 OOS spots that open up from those who decline the offer. Good luck everyone!

Are you asking what hours classes are held or what dates the semesters run? My understanding is that class meeting times vary from day-to-day, but are usually fives day/week. MS1 orientation will, according to Cindy, probably begin Aug. 6 with classes running Aug. 13-December 11 for the fall semester.
