I might have my schools mixed up, but I think the only thing you'll hear is whether or not you're wait listed. If I remember correctly Drexel updates your status to either a final decision has been made and mailed or a decision has been made (wait list). If you receive the former you've gotta wait for the snail mail to see which decision it is. Hopefully they change this year though to all electronic or a phone call! Good luck!

I think Drexel said they would snail mail your decision only.

They snail mail it, but last year people had one of two statuses online that gave away whether or not they were waitlisted.

Ps can you recommend somewhere good to eat in city center?

You'd think they could at least proofread the hold (rejection) notice...but I understand that this is par for the course for Drexel! :laugh:
 
I've been at "your file is complete and will be reviewed" since 8/17.

Guess no love from Drexel.

I didn't hear about this on interview day. So they got rid of the "a decision has been made" and "a final decision has been made" statuses from last year?

I was in one of the first few too, so I was hoping we would get news today! I called admissions a couple weeks ago and they said that I would most likely hear back "soon." I asked how soon and they said a couple week (that's NOW!!!). Maybe tomorrow?

Yeah, I was in the first interview group as well. Darn it! I have the same status...
 
Does anyone have any input on how reliable SEPTA is? I'm planning on taking the Chestnut Hill West from center city to the Queen Lane station, but I'm not sure if I should take the one that gets to Queen Lane at 7:40 or 8:10. One is ridiculously early, but the other one might screw me if the train runs into any delays.

7:40 isn't too early--when I interviewed here most people were there by 8. I would go with the earlier one.

Hey everyone, I'm going to be withdrawing my interview spot on November 13th, hope it goes to someone who wants it badly!

For those who already interviewed, could you tell us what the essay prompts were during the interview?? I've been worrying about this since the i got the II...

Don't worry about the essay question. It is just an ethical scenario and you decide how you would approach the ethical question. You have plenty of time to finish the essay. I finished it in 10 minutes.
 
Too lazy to go searching through the thread: What's the interview protocol here? How many? With whom? Any curve balls? Any feedback would be appreciated, I'll be there this Thursday 🙂
 
One with faculty followed by a low stress lunch interview with a student. They just pull students to interview you...mine did not have my application at all.

Status page does get updated, but it won't display the decision.

Haha, I also want to complain about the fact that I've been "under review" since 8/21 when I submitted the secondary 8/3. This school is so weird. 🙄 Good luck to those waiting to hear though, I'm sure you'll get good news!

The first admissions committee meeting was not even two weeks ago. Information will slowly come out but it does take time. Its a cliche, but patience truly is a virtue during this long process.
 
Will be withdrawing today from my 10/29 interview. Hope it goes to one of you who really want it!

Oh boy, the infamous Hold. I suggest you send them an update/earnest letter of interest if you can.
 
I'm beginning to lose hope for Drexel. I STILL haven't received my secondary yet (but neither have I received a rejection) and I can't seem to ever reach anyone from admissions. I spoke to one woman a while ago who while not rude, wasn't very friendly either. She said it takes 3-6 weeks to process an application. It had already been about 3 - 3.5 weeks when I called. I have tried calling a few times since then and never seem to be able to reach anyone. It is made difficult as well by my work schedule and the fact that I am 4 hours behind. I do not always have the opportunity to call before they are already closed. When I do call during hours, I always get voicemail. I left a message today, hopefully I will hear something back one way or the other...
 
fellow people who interviewed in the first week, any news yet? new mail or status update? last year, I think the students starting hearing around this time.
 
I called admissions and they said that nothing has gone out yet, and that the earliest they expect to send out is in a week approx.
 
Guess I can stop excessively checking my status until next week! lol!
 
Does anyone have a good idea of what their mission/core values are as a school? e.g. underserved communities? I'm looking at their site and am not seeing as much about serving the community and/or humanistic approaches.. just curious if anyone knows. thanks
