I have a quick question about financial aid. I'm aware that the FSU medical school curriculum begins in the summer but how does this affect financial aid (i.e. do you receive financial aid your first summer)? The estimated cost for the summer is approximately $20,000 and I know that we can accept enough money to cover cost of attendance. If we accept enough funds to cover the summer, this wouldn't affect the fall semester (because it's a new school year)?

I'd appreciate any input!

The total loan you can take out for MS1 is around 45,000 in total.

So if you took out 20,000 for the summer you only have about 25,ooo for fall 2014 spring 2015.

That only applies for unsubsidized maximums per year. You can still take out direct plus loans on tip of that.
