Just checked my online portal today and saw this in my received materials section:

Supporting MaterialsOct 01, 2014update ltr

I haven't sent them anything since my secondary/payment. Anyone else get this?
 
primary verified late July. Received secondary application today. lol

Congratulations!!! Do you mind sharing with us when you were complete?
 
Interviewed on 10/1 and had an amazing time at the school. The interview was not stressful at all and was more behavioral if anything for me (and mostly everyone else I spoke to). For anyone interviewing here in the near future do not worry at all! The entire day was very laid back and low stress. Interviews begin later in the morning, and by that time you will likely not be nervous at all. Best of luck to everyone, I hope that you are all fortunate enough to get a chance to interview here!
 
Can anyone comment on how many people drexel anticipates to accept?
 
I tried calling for us late August applicants this morning. All I was told was my status will change when I'm reviewed lol. Maybe multiple people should call and then they'll realize something is up with us late August people.

Or they can "accidentally" lose the month of August applicants.
 
I had a dream last night that I got an II at Drexel. Too bad I was also late August, so they probably lost me in reality. 🙁

About 260 students matriculated this year and it should be the same number for the class of 2019 as well.
 
Sorry if this has been discussed before, but are there large differences in II chances between being placed on hold and no status change?
 
I got a complete email a few days back but I don't even have the complete status on the portal. all I have is "No decision has been made on your application", or something similar.

Just got my II! Still in shock, though. I never received an e-mail and if I hadn't checked my application status on their website today (on a whim!) I would have totally missed it!

Submitted my secondary 9/6, and confirmed as complete 9/15.

  • Please check your status frequently by viewing our online status check screen at http://webcampus.drexelmed.edu/Admissions/MyApplication. You'll need your Banner ID and password to do so.
  • We will post all updates and status changes online but do not necessarily send notifications of status changes.
  • Make sure to review the materials received on the "My Application" screen and verify what is listed on the "View Status/Decision" screen as well. Please report any discrepancies between the two screens to the Office of Admissions.
  • The "View Status/Decision" screen will inform you of any decisions made on your application. Please make sure to check this screen frequently.

Yeah, once I calmed down I realized that Drexel doesn't send out e-mails for II. I applied to too many schools, I think, because their policies are all starting to blur together.

no email for interviews? that's strange as can be.

For those of you that recently got interviews, what interview days (i.e. end of October/beginning of November?) were available when you chose?

I'm asking because I'm supposed to interview this Thursday (10/9) but I'm pretty sure I came down with the flu on Friday. I thought I would be better by the end of this weekend but I actually feel like I'm not getting any better so I may need to reschedule.

I don't know if they were all open (I assume so, otherwise why would they be shown) but they showed plenty of interview dates all the way up to at least December/January (I didn't look past that). I think they mention that if you want to reschedule your interview, that you'll have to call them, tho.

Sorry I meant like what are the earliest dates available? And yes, I'm going to call them tomorrow when they open if I'm still feeling under the weather.

Ooh, ok. Um, if I remember correctly, they had dates for mid-October still available — around the 16th and such?

Thanks! How long ago was it when you checked portal and saw interview dates available?
 
Complete 8/29 and still "will be reviewed"? :shrug:
 
Has anybody interviewed yet this year? Any questions they asked worth noting? Was there an ethical essay prompt in the beginning?

Yep there was an ethical essay, wasn't too difficult. It seems everyone in my group had the same question, but I'm not sure If they change it based on your interview day.
As for questions, I think it depends on which faculty interviewer you get, which you will only know the day of. I had to take the shuttle to the hospital, where my interviewer was. He took me to see 2 patients with him, which was definitely out of left field, and the actual interview lasted around 10 minutes. He did ask my about the state of the medical field, and the most significant problems in medicine right now.

And by ethical essay you mean the kind like "what would you do if your best friend cheated on an exam" ... not like "what is your opinion on the ACA"

Yep. Similar to the first one...then again I'm not sure If it changes you know?
 
There is an essay at the interview? This is news to me. Do any other schools do this besides Drexel?
 
I know that Downstate has you right something about a picture they give you..but I heard its mostly as a time waster and not that important..The Drexel essay..well more of a paragraph or two seems to hold some weight

Do most schools with essays allow you to type or is it all handwritten?
 
Handwritten. Buffalo makes you write as well.
