The amount positivity and encouragement here has surpassed anything I expected in an online anonymous chat. You all are awesome people that will do great things. Just remember that every patient you will meet as doctors is looking for this same kind of kind heart you've shown on here! You all are awesome!

Therefore, I felt compelled to throw my hat in and say "Hey!" A little about me (purposely vague for now): I guess I'm non-trad in that I'm a non-US citizen from the same African nation as a few folks in here, and I'm a few years removed from UG completion. I'm lucky to also hold a second degree in which my performance was far greater than that of my UG days. As with this post, I applied fashionably? 🙄 late this cycle (late Sept/early Oct completion). So happy and blessed to follow up the above and hop on the amazing success train in this thread. That same II above, and my only one this cycle (to date), called me today in work and dropped an unexpected acceptance on me! What made it especially shocking was that on the interview day they had told us the class was full and oversubscribed, so we should only expect holds or rejections. But I got an acceptance!!! What?!?! I had to leave work early because I couldn't function anymore and the muscles in the back of my head hurt from smiling so much. I personally give all thanks to God because I tell you...there's so, so much that only happened through His Grace. I now await the acceptance packet in the mail to confirm the reality that was that dream of a phone call. My continued Best to all & please, keep on rocking!

Were you there on Jan 9th by any chance? Had a small group so we might have met already haha.

I didn't send any updates or thank you notes post-interview.

Nah I didn't interview then, but I just got a response back, waitlisted. I've just been taking the L as of recently.

I am getting so dam frustrated with some of these schools, first of all it seems like their financial aid department cant seem to get anything right, and now 2 of my acceptances told me that I wont even get a estimate of financial aid before April the 30th. So basically they telling me to screw myself and money cant be a factor in my decision making. One school I even remember the head of financial aid telling us we could ask for a estimate at the interview day presentation and when I inquired about this I got strung along until one of the financial aid officer got me intouch with the head of the department who told us we could ask for estimates, I sent a polite email to this director (made 2 people to proof read it because I was so angry at all the BS) I have still to hear back from her and its been a week!
Honestly this has made me have alot of negative feelings towards my acceptances

You might want to ask current students at those schools about the breakdown of their package. But finaid is really just an euphemism in medical school only the most competitive schools seem to give out significant need base aid. If the schools have a track record of giving out significant need based aid then you will get whatever you need.

I'm a Canadian applicant from Toronto and I'm ecstatic to say I'm gonna be attending Case Western Reserve this coming July! Was not expecting to hear back so soon given that my interview was not even two weeks ago, but I'm not gonna complain.
Congrats to everyone else in this thread, and I hope I run into y'all at some point!
