Guys each school is different. Some might have a meeting today to discuss vacancy and vote on new offers, some will not meet until later this week or even later. I don’t think they sit on a desk and make calls as people withdraw. The committee is made up of faculty and doctors that have other duties in addition to administrators. So they most likely have specific meeting times to discuss and make decisions and whatnot and it’s diff for each school
 
So if I got a call from my second choice, would i have to “commit to enroll” immediately or can I still “plan to enroll” and remain on the WL for my first choice?

You don’t have to choose anything at all unless your acceptance stipulates it. I would check your acceptance materials or with the school directly if you’re worried.

SO GUYS I was biting my nails the entire day and avoiding the Internet because I didn't want to get my hopes up, but ended up getting the call late in the afternoon while I was on the other line with my friend 🙂 It's so exciting to know that I'm going to be a doctor!! To all of you out there still waiting, don't lose hope! I have faith in each and every one of you

For sure, I'm still holding onto that last bit of hope. I also know that many people go through the cycle without even a single interview, so I am truly grateful I'm still in the running. But man do I just wish I could be put to sleep until they either accept me or turn me down. Then I can finally move on with some certainty.

I just started game of thrones a couple of days ago because of the wait lol

How about binge reading all the previous year school specific threads. Just kidding, I don't do that. Dammit mom why are you butt dialing me and scaring me bc I turned up the ringer volume to the max today!! Hold on I got another email. I'm playing with you guys im not that neurotic. F5 f5.. Ok time to goto work (so that I can covertly check out this thread and celebrate other members good news and live vicariously through them). Just messing I'm not crazy at all wait Someone is calling!!

Great to see tons of acceptances on this thread!

Just a gentle reminder that for those of you who've already officially committed to a school, please withdraw from your WLs rather than just waiting to see if you get in -- Let someone else who wants that spot get it sooner! We all know how terrible the wait is, especially the closer it gets to school actually starting.
