Anyone have a link to the Facebook class page?
I'm curious why you think this? Not trying to be confrontational. Just hadn't heard this beforeIf you get placed on hold you could potentially get waitlisted, but it’s pretty much a rejection.
I believe you. I just wasn't aware of that. At the interview they made it sound like they review apps on hold whenever the committee meets.I’ve applied to MUSC several times before I got in this year. Musc’s waitlists is very small, almost everyone on the waitlist gets in. I’m pretty sure they don’t accept people throughout the year that are on hold, you’re basically under consideration for a waitlist spot at that point. It’s okay if you don’t believe me, but I’m pretty certain what I’m describing is indeed the case.

How is your brother and sister from mount pleasant but you’re not?My brother (and his family) and my sister (and her family) are all from Mount Pleasant. My mom also intends to retire there. MUSC said I had no ties to SC. *smh* c’est la vie, c’est la guerre
They moved there while I was serving in the military. How is your brother and sister from mount pleasant but you’re not?
Got placed on hold. Any insight on how things unfold from here? Could I be accepted/rejected any time from now to March?
How much do you think updates will help? I recently started working on research and that was something missing from my appHonestly don’t take it as a total loss. If they wanted to reject you, they probably would have. MUSC isn’t afraid of rejecting people. Odds are you won’t hear anything again until March (that’s how it went for my friends who were in your spot in the past). I know one who got in after being on hold, and others who got waitlisted (and eventually off waitlist) after as well. Don’t sweat too hard bc you’ll probably be sitting tight for a few months, but the outcome could still be positive!!!!
What are your stats, if you don't mind me asking?II for 10/25, complete 7/17

Same, and I emailed about it and never got a response 🙂Has anybody tried to submit an update letter? I just tried and I got a 404 error. I left a voicemail with admissions to see if they received it before I attempt to submit another one and look like a jackass. Wondering if it's happened to anyone else.

Thanks for sharing this!Got a response from Ms. Cannon in admissions. She said she's gonna tell IT, but in the meantime you can send updates to the [email protected] email.
I was wondering the same thing. I found the page that required the login too. I thought that info had to be public?Has anyone been able to find a match list? When I check their website, it requires a MUSC login.
This is the closest I could find. Just a summary of their match, but no specifics.I was wondering the same thing. I found the page that required the login too. I thought that info had to be public?

I really want to stay instate for med school so I want to know how to appeal to gville & MUSC

No. What did the email say?Did any other OOS applicants receive an email asking them to re-fill out the close ties form?
Did the form submit for you? When I tried to submit it, it kept saying "this web page does not exist"
No. What did the email say?
Oh interesting. Had you previously filled out the form with your secondary? It basically just said in order to be considered for an invite as an oos you have to have close ties and fill out this form showing you do.
Not that form per se, but the secondary asked the exact same questions. Maybe it was to verify? Because I have very close ties to the state and school.Oh interesting. Had you previously filled out the form with your secondary?
Did y'all ask why you were sent this form again?
