+1For those wondering, I got the acceptance email at around the same time today that I got the acceptance phone call. Approximately ~24 hours from call to email.
Good luck all! 🙂
Hey guys! I'm getting kind of worried about my application at Greenville so I wanted to come on here and see if anyone is in a similar situation or if anyone has any advice for what I should do. I am an in-state student with high stats and a mission pretty in line with Greenville's mission. I got an invite to complete VITA from Greenville wayyyy back in August, which was shortly followed up with an email saying, "Oops nevermind we aren't using VITA. We'll let you know if you're selected for an interview." For the past 3 months I have heard absolutely nothing. I don't know what to do; I've thought about emailing them asking about it, but don't want to come off as if I'm saying, "I'm so great, you all should have invited me for an interview already," but I'm starting to feel as though something went wrong because I'm in-state, good credentials, and fit with their mission. Thanks for any advice or moral support in advance!
congrats! what date did they give?II this morning! In state, ORM
It can't hurt right, why not? This application cycle is by no means normal and I am sure the in state ties will help along with your competitive ranges!Looking for some input...
I received an invite to complete the secondary app on 07/15/2020. Between starting a new full time job, interest in other schools, and how long this secondary app was, I put off completion for awhile (4 months specifically lol). I am an instate student from the Greenville area and I have stats just a little below this school's average. I am still waiting to hear back from other schools and was curious as to if I should go ahead and complete and submit this secondary. The deadline is Dec. 15th so I need to make the decision soon.
Thanks for the help in advanced!
I’m in a very similar boat. I interviewed last cycle & have since gained more clinical experience & increased my mcat significantly. & it’s been absolute silence from greenville.Hey guys! Still waiting from July. From NC but Greenville is the closest school to my hometown. I sent an update back in OctoberAny OOS students receive an II lately? Been waiting since August from so many schools and its crushing my spirits at this point lol.
Waiting from July too. I'm in the same boat, I've been complete since July/August for all schools, and haven't heard back from most of them.Any OOS students receive an II lately? Been waiting since August from so many schools and its crushing my spirits at this point lol.
This thread has been so silent, I'm sure you're not aloneHey guys! I was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me. So I have heard back/interviewed at all the other schools in-state except Greenville. Honestly, this makes me kind of worried I missed something or forgot something because I am right at all their stats, I am an in-state resident, and have heard from everyone else. I know there is a possibility I am just not being offered anything or I havent been looked at yet. Im just a little worried because I sent everything off to them back in July. So Im just seeing if Im not alone, I guess. 😥😥

Just heard from them a couple days ago, turned down my interview though so hopefully someone got in that spot!if it's any reassurance i've heard back from every state school except MUSC

If you look at their scholarships page on their website it seems like they are decently generous with them! A lot of people get an intermediate-level scholarship of $15k a year and they also have a higher one of 30-40k a year that is obviously given to fewer students.Does anyone know if they're generous with their merit-based scholarships?
They told us at my interview (last week) to expect decisions around Dec. 18. Maybe your interview day will hear back at the same time?I interviewed Nov 18th, and I haven’t heard back as an OOS applicant. Should I be worried?
Oh ok! ThanksThey told us at my interview (last week) to expect decisions around Dec. 18. Maybe your interview day will hear back at the same time?
Loved them the day I interviewed. Now waiting on that scholarship. Whoot whoot.me too. def going !
"Please respond to this e-mail (even though it says do not reply) at your earliest convenience confirming your intention to attend UofSCSOM Greenville."
Anyone know what exactly they mean by this? Is replying committing to attending or is it reserving your seat similar to paying a refundable deposit?
Thank you! So they didn't send you the link to pay the deposit until you replied? I got an email to pay the deposit around the same time as the one I quoted above asking me to reply to it.Replying will hold your seat! After you respond, they will email you in a couple of days with the link to pay the refundable seat deposit 🙂

Idk if this was asked but is there a facebook group?Happy to help! So I did this mid-November so they might have gotten the process down faster now but back then I got the deposit email 3 days after the offer email! Congratulations though!!!! 🙂
Idk if this was asked but is there a facebook group?
Thanks I think i misread it. I thought it said something about a yard sale but I will look again. lolSo they just sent out an Accepted Students Newsletter for December yesterday morning and in it they said they are making a Class of 2025 FB group. They said if you are interested to contact Holly Pace at admissions and I am assuming she will add people to the group! If you didn't get the newsletter yet, I am sure you will and they said they will be sending them out monthly from now on 🙂
I interviewed in October and heard back in December. I think it's about 6 weeks or so. But don't fret. The interview is pretty chill. Most of the MMIs are clinically related. Goodluck.Just got an II today for Jan 20th. IS applicant. Any tips on knocking this interview out the park? Also, what's the general timeline between interviewing and hearing a decision. Are applicants who interview in January typically waitlisted? Thanks.
I would say know your application really well (both primary and secondary responses), really convey why medicine and also why this school. The interview itself was very chill as other people spoke about. My interview group was an outlier because we interviewed mid december and found out three days later.Just got an II today for Jan 20th. IS applicant. Any tips on knocking this interview out the park? Also, what's the general timeline between interviewing and hearing a decision. Are applicants who interview in January typically waitlisted? Thanks.
