Yes, but how they screen and what they screen for is questionable. I also wonder what the difference is between screening for a secondary and receiving an interview invite because their secondary seemed short compared to others.

I do know, from previous threads, that they look at your application holistically.

Wow that's lame. I emailed them yesterday and they said "Meharry Medical College does not accept or issue fee waivers/codes toward the supplemental application"

Does anyone know how heavily Meharry relies on Casper? Scored in the 1st quartile. Hopefully, this doesn't ruin my chances.

I was reading around this morning, and the general consensus surrounding Casper is that medical schools aren’t completely transparent with how they use the scores.

From Casper:
Academic programs incorporate Casper in different ways to guide their admissions process. Most programs use Casper alongside other metrics like GPA and MCAT scores as a prescreening tool to decide who they would like to invite to the interview process. Some programs use Casper in a more impressionistic approach, to help facilitate decisions on candidates who are on the cusp of whether they are admitted to the program. Some programs implement a conservative cut-off score for Casper to screen out applicants, while others take a closer look at candidates who have exceptionally high Casper scores.

Invitation to Interview: The Admissions Committee will interview select candidates between September-April. Interviews are by invitation only. All students are required to take CASPer before their interview.

It seems like Meharry might be using Casper as a screening tool to extend interviews. It might mean there’s a cut-off or that it’s weighted into an overall score or they’ll take it into consideration holistically or they’re still testing the tool out.

Point is, we don’t really know how schools are using Casper, but we do know that it is required by Meharry before you can attend an interview but not necessarily receive an interview invitation.

I submitted my secondary (yay lol!) and I got two emails one thanking me for sending my application and another one saying to complete my secondary again. Which I thought was werid so I clicked the link and it went to my completed secondary but the payment page, so I went to the home page and I see the seondary that was complete and paid for but now I have two secondary applications on the home page. One submitted and the other unsubmitted, does anyone know how to delete the second one so it is not confusing to the adcoms?

Does anyone know if they email for IIs? Cause i can no longer access the secondary, so I hope they arent trying to communicate through there
 
Oh my god… I just logged in meharry portal and it told me to port my application over and it’s asking me to submit my secondary application ….. stress just went to 100

Wait, they’re asking you to resubmit?
 
I had the same, it’s when you click one of the links they provide you, it starts another secondary application. Just look at my post from before (#302) on this page.

It still has all my questions and answers from the first application. It’s just asking me to pay now. Do I just ignore it or call? I received an email a long time ago saying they had my secondary

I registered to take Casper but it signed me up to do these other two. Do I only have to complete Casper and ignore the other two (Snapshot, duet)?
 
I submitted my secondary Friday and I recently signed up for the CASPER for next week.
 
Did anyone else put they were interested in participating in the MD/PhD joint program with UPenn in Healthcare Management?
 
Just submitted my secondary 10/25. I took CASPER back in July. MCAT score is in. Now we wait patiently lol
 
So I sent in 4 lors without realizing that Meharry's max was 3. what should i do?

It’s a minimum of 3 letter for the School of Medicine. Not a maximum. You’re good
