OOS secondary received today

Does everyone get a secondary if they have above a 500 MCAT and 3.0? Or do they read the primary app?

Does this school screen for secondaries or have strong IS bias? I have yet to get their secondary, but was verified 5/28 and have received all of my other secondaries that others have received.

Does anyone actually use the entire word limit of 1,000 words? I feel like if I try to drag out my answer to meet this word limit, my answer sounds super repetitive.

Yes they screen. Their website: "Select applicants will be invited to continue the application process by submitting a secondary application."

+1 for still waiting... 🙁

Wonder what their screening process is...given I passed the screening for a few top-ranking schools lol.

EDIT: Per MSAR I certainly wouldn't have been screened by GPA or MCAT

I made a grave mistake and submitted 1000 characters instead of 1000 words. Would it be worth it to email the admissions and see if they can do anything?

I don’t think so! I got their secondary last week Thursday and I’m from Florida. My sister-in-law graduated from here tho.

Anybody willing to give my responses a review? Just a few words.
If you choose to assist me with this: Please honest, I can take criticism. Hoping to submit within the next two days

I saw on Reddit that they have a hard 2-week deadline. But didn't see anything on the secondary portal itself. Can anyone confirm?

secondary email says "ideally we would like for you to complete your supplemental application within two weeks of this invitation"

Can someone please copy/paste the secondaries here
Yeah sure thing, here they are:

Is anybody else having trouble paying for their secondaries? There is an error every time I try to submit it.

any student at CMU ? I looked on their website to see if there are free clinics in the area but could not find a clear answer. There is a mobile health clinic but the description about is confusing. Any help would be much appreciated!

If you are a reapplicant, does CMU compare your current years application such as secondary answers to last years?

was a reapplicant for the 2023-2024 cycle, got admitted to CMU. I did change my secondaries up and kept bulk of the idea. I would suggest rewriting the secondary. Mention if you did anything during the previous cycle / gap year to improve your application.

I did not notice that they mentioned it is ideal to send the secondary back within 2 weeks. Is It still worth it to send it back if it's after 2 weeks?

Any OOS applicants hear back regarding an interview? I submitted and was marked complete on 7/`14, but I have not heard anything yet. It seems like some IS applicants are hearing back.

I am in the same position as well. I hope they send a big wave of II soon.

whether or not it's worth it depends on your individual situation...do you have any michigan ties? do you have a strong app? do you have the FAP? could you complete the single essay in a short period of time?
