That’s what I’m thinking too. They must be doing it in chunks or something.
I’m just shocked that if people are on the waitlist they aren’t religiously checking this page if they are wanting to go to MSU as their top choice

based on last years thread it looks like waitlist movement happened in waves/chunks: 05/07, 05/22, and 06/07 (yes i have nothing better to do than neurotically look thru sdn threads)

OOS A off the WL!!!! Just got the call right now. First MD of the cycle after 4 waitlists. The wait was truly worth it and I hope more good news gets shared here today.

Just as a heads-up, they just sent out the official GroupMe for the class of 2029 this morning, and there are currently 121 members. Granted, a couple are current students helping to answer questions and stuff, but the majority are committed students for the upcoming year.

MSAR says the class size is 189 so approx 60 seats left unless there's more committed students to join the group

We are currently at 172 in the group. Again, some of these are older students, but I’m not sure how many exactly. I think if any of you are waiting for waitlist movement still, it may be worth it for one of you to call the school and ask directly about where you stand.

IS- Rejected off the WL yesterday. Was placed on WL 11/21/2024, rough 6 months but hopefully reapp will be more successful. good luck to everyone else!

I was waistlisted on 10/21/2024 lol. I was among the first people to interview there tbh. I am OOS.
I don't think it would hurt to reach out and explain your situation. You've waited for some time to hear now from MSU’s end but with no response yet and with CTE coming up for your other school, it would be reasonable to ask and see if they could provide you any insight. With the right words and tone, it would show that you're respectful and thoughtful

Subtracting the admins in the group who are current students, it is at 193 members.
Dang, the way that crushed the last bit of hope I had left even though I had a strong feeling seats were probably limited to none 😭 rejection is redirection. Thank you for the update!!
