For people who have received interviews, how long does it take to hear back about scheduling. I’m on day 3. Did you follow up with admissions?

It took me about 3-4 days! I just interviewed today! Good luck!

Hi! does anyone know the format of interview day? if it a full day of interviews and a get to know us presentation or like a half day thing?

Trying to stay positive but still no secondary after verifying my primary app in July….losing hope
My primary app was verified in August and I have heard nothing. I reached out to admissions today with a nice, intentional email inquiring about my application and the possibility of a secondary. I was told "It is under review"

I sent a two-sentence thank you email and pray my email had the intended effect.

I think you’ll be alright. August is on the later end of being verified and if they go in order, perhaps they haven’t gotten to yours yet

Does anyone know if attending the open house will be beneficial to admissions? And Is anyone ese planing to attend?
Some say such events give interviewed applicants a boost but they may also have no benefit at all. I am planning to attend because I got the A on the 15th from my originally top school but I'd love to move to LA area so CDU is beating it. Just wanna see the community and school structure so I can make calculated decisions if I get the A in March. I am also attending their virtual webinar in Nov.

I really want to attend, but I’m far

I’d be coming from NY, but I think I’m going to fly in just for the day to go. Also, I was looking at the registration form and it seems pretty generic. I’m assuming this went out to everyone who’s interested. I could be wrong though.

that’s what I’m trying to figure out as well, who it all was sent out to, because I’d be flying in as well to attend

you mind sharing a screenshot of it? I don’t see it on there.

Hey did those who interviewed already know who their interviewer was prior to the interview? I have mine tomorrow but, I still don't have any information beyond them being faculty members.

No they didn’t tell me beforehand

I am curious does anyone know when the decisions go out? On MSAR it says Feb 14, 2025 but at the virtual Q&A session they said March 2025.

I was told in March by the dean. I know last year it was in Feb but this year they received way more apps
Hi! Current MS1 at CDU. From my understanding, 60 students were admitted on around Feb 15th, and then as those accepted applicants declined , admissions would admit a few more until class was full. I believe we got accepted from mid Feb to May.

Had my interview the other day and really enjoyed it! The only hesitation I now have about CDU is that they do not have any cadaver labs for anatomy, and they are all strictly virtual. Does anyone who goes there currently want to share a little insight into how that has been for them? A little worried if that would be a hindrance to the experience. Thank you!

Apparently CDU doesn't have its own clinical site so they designate clerkships on a lottery system to hospital affiliations and research is offered on a first-come first-serve basis to off-campus sites.
How difficult has this been for current students? Did you find it manageable to constantly move between states for research and clinicals? I really thought they had their own research center on campus and sent their students to UCLA Health for clinicals.

For any current students can you explain more about what CDU’s gateway program is? They mentioned it in the Q nd A but like very briefly.

are any of you guys going to the open house? idk if I should come from out of town for it

Where did you hear/find out the info about the clerkships? I'd like to ask about this at my upcoming interview. Thanks!

They mentioned it during their virtual session. Someone asked how it's perceived by the students but the speaker only emphasized the school allows trading between students.

ngl even after attending the virtual session- there are still a lot of things that are not a 100% clear to me, is it just me who felt like that.

Curious if others who interviewed experienced a distracted/not engaged interviewer? My first interview was like if the person was just trying to get through it as fast as possible. They didn’t even let me ask questions; just said thanks and bye and cut out. The second one was much better and it was a great conversation.
