My friend got accepted last year. She had 2 gap years, no research, and LOR only from her boss where she worked. MCAT 507, I think her GPA was 3.5/3.6ish. Of course, I’m not actually sure what her application contained… like an X factor or something.

Got the II yesterday! Secondary 7/18 complete. Got the complete email, and Interview invite yesterday around 12:30 (EST) 8/21/2024! Very excited now, anyone how do I prepare for this particular interview? Does an interview this early mean anything in particular for this school? They accept people in Feb-March so I feel like it does not mean anything? Anyway. Very happy!! 😀 first II!!

It takes them minutes to review your secondary. If they already scored your primary, which they should since they screen, an II should be quick to hand out.

Attending a tour means nothing to them. They want to know what you have to offer their school and larger community.

My point stands. And depending on how he wrote about his mission, it may not have conveyed properly.

Same here, around the same time. How’s your MCAT? Also, are you OOS and/or URM ? If you don’t mind my asking.
 
Also haven't received a secondary as OOS applicant. Born and raised in CA though.
 
I was informed by admissions that receiving a secondary application is not automatic, but no criteria were provided to explain how the decision is made.
 
Hi everyone, sorry if this is a dumb qs, I’m first gen and don’t have anyone else to ask. Do we have to pay to register for Kira? Like with Casper? Will it be a prompt and auto record our answers or will it be a person asking me qs?

It’s free and there will be a live person asking questions. Not like Casper at all.

It's not MMI, right? They never specified in the email but from previous years, it looks like the first 20 minute interview is MMI then the second is traditional.

No, both traditional. Just with two different faculty members.
 
I haven’t received a secondary and I’ve been verified for 3 weeks .

I’m thinking it’s because I was screened out because I haven’t taken calculus but I have AP credit for it. According to MSAR they don’t accept AP credit for it.

I’m also thinking it might be bc all of my LORs are not yet submitted.

Anyone here who hasn’t taken calculus or doesn’t have all there LORs submitted but has gotten a secondary?

I don’t know if all your prereqs have to be done for a secondary

Im in the same spot im hoping that isn't the case. Their website is a bit unclear about this requirement (unless I am blind lol). Been verified since early august 🙁

I received a secondary without meeting the calculus requirement sometime during early August and submitted it 08/12; all of my LORs were in though. Haven't heard from them since besides an email asking me where and when I will take the calculus course.

They could be waiting on your LOR, but I'm not too sure about their process so take my info with a grain of salt.

LORs are received the instant they are designated on AMCAS.

I am aware of that. However, they wrote "all of my LORs are not yet submitted", hence why I put the last portion of my reply about CDU waiting for the LORs to possibly send a secondary
 
ppl on here saying they haven't gotten a secondary and have been submitted for 3 weeks but I'm here w almost 2 months is making me sick lol. i've almost accepted I'm not getting a secondary

usually schools j want you to meet the pre req before you enroll in the school. So i don't think that's why. I took AP Calc in HS and then one calc course in college so I don't meet the minimum 6 months either
