I'm honestly not expecting more decisions or waitlist movement until May, but I guess we'll see
It's certainly looking that way, wow. :/

I mean, they still have most of their interview dates since January to report? I can't imagine they'll just throw everyone onto the watilist from those, maybe they just waited until now so they can dump the results in one go

Does anyone else have a hard time getting a hold of admissions by phone? Anytime I call it goes straight to voicemail. Interviewed in September and got alt-listed in October and just want to know if they hold any value on LOIs and if alt list is just an automatic WL or if it can be a rejection, etc.

Yep, I had the same issue, though their voicemail seemed to imply you can get a faster response if you email them.

It’s honestly inconsiderate at this point that they have made people wait more than the 6-8 weeks timeframe, without communication, just to be placed on the WL….why send out II’s the beginning of this year if they already know they have more than enough applicants for their class.

+1 Application Withdrawal. Best of luck to you all! The school was absolutely great to learn about, but I don't think I am the best fit. Overall, I am happy my withdrawal gets one of you guys off the waitlist -- whoever it is 🙂
Thanks for your sacrifice o7

confused about the alter spot. they will not take me off alternate spot until I withdraw from confirmed admission? why would someone withdraw from confirmed adm at another school so that UC "may" change that ALT to A ? Unless UC guarantees ALT to A how can someone withdraw

UC will still extend alt list offers to people if they have 'plan to enroll' selected for a different school. They will not send offers to people who have 'commit to enroll' selected.

Dont understand. After Apr 30, I have to "commit to enroll" for the confirmed admission offer school. Does that mean ALT list for Cinci after Apr 30 is only for those who dont have any A?

April 30th is usually the day when you have to narrow down your offers to one by selecting 'plan to enroll', but the vast majority have their commit to enroll dates later in the summer. But if they say you must commit to them by the 30th or risk having your offer rescinded, then UC will not extend you an offer from the alt list if you do so (and you need to withdraw from all other waitlists after committing). You can remain on as many waitlists as you want after selecting 'plan to enroll' (but before committing) at a different school.

Thanks. My bad .. Apr 30 is plan to enroll. As you said commit to enroll at IU is much later date. Cinci is my first choice.. lets see if it works out.

Surely there's going to be some movement next week, right?
Based off the anecdotes just from here about people withdrawing As I think there will be at some point, just not sure if next week. It seems like some of the past years that have had WL movement have had it at as early as May 1st, some not until mid/end of May or even June

From last year's thread they overaccepted and didn't have any WL movement at all. But looking at cycletrack they've only accepted ~30 percent of the people that have reported decisions, so fingers crossed that's actually representative and we have a lot of movement next week from them just being a bit more cautious. Any accepted people able to say how many are in the class groupme/facebook?
