Good luck to all applying!

Does UConn send an email saying your app is complete. I turned in my secondary but haven’t received an email confirming it’s submitted and there is no where to see the status of my application.

I just submitted mine and I also had no email or status after, so I'm guessing that's normal

I am a little confused on the prerequisite matching; all of my classes have had the lab attached to them. Do I say no courses to add or do I just re add my class twice under the lab section as well?

I added mine twice

Yeah I am unsure of what to do for this as well

The website says "Chemistry (2 years of college credit with lab with at least 1 semester being Organic Chemistry)" as a chem pre-req. I just used one of my orgo classes for the third gen chem requirement and am honestly just hoping for the best :')

That’s what I did lol. Weird, but hopefully that’s okay.

I submitted my application last night and never received an email that they received it. Should I be worried?

Looks like that’s the case with UConn for now. I submitted Monday and haven’t heard anything

Is anyone confused by the last secondary question? is it asking about activities in general or activities that specifically pertain to UConn?

How long did it take people to get an email confirming their app was complete? I submitted last week on the day of the deadline but haven't heard anything since...

Don’t think they send confirmation emails

I don't think they send confirmation emails but no one got a notification of payment email either, right?

Reasonable to apply to the University of Connecticut as an OOS applicant from Northern New England? LM: 76
it's getting late but if you already wrote the secondary, and would want to go here, it could be worth a shot.

I've already submitted most of my secondaries, but thinking of adding a few more to balance my school list. I've always been interested in UConn, but I did not prioritize the school due to its reputation as an OOS-unfriendly school. Does that also apply to New Englander's from states without public MD schools? From what I can tell, most of their II invites go out between October and February.
I’m not too sure. I’d check last years thread.

No word from UCONN yet. They seem much slower than previous cycles.

They’re doing interviews, just low hit rate/low participation on people also on SDN, I think.

I interviewed last Monday 9/9, there were 15-18 other interviewees (most were MD/PhD) and staff mentioned that they had held another interview the Friday before. I imagine a similar number of applicants for that session

I see. Guess there is just less people on sdn who applied there. Hopefully we hear something soon!

How was the interview experience?

Interview experience was pretty standard. Started with introductions with the dean, then two one-on-one (student and faculty). Very conversational, relaxed. I think they interview through march, so I wouldn’t worry too much

Great, thanks! Best of luck with the rest of your cycle.

What was the interview like for those who had it already? Have one on Friday

Was the interview traditional? Open or closed file?

Yep, lol. Hoping this is not a bad thing.
The first II was reported on August 30th and they interview roughly 10-15 applicants each interview day it seems and it looks like based on others and my experience they occur every Friday. This means they have probably had 5 rounds of interviews so at max the high end they’ve done 75/320 and last year they interviewed until pretty late in the cycle so I wouldn’t be worried at all

Thank you for the optimism! I certainly did not write it off. Just hoping to hear something by now. But patience is important!
