So, how is the first question supposed to be approached? I understand maybe talking a bit about new experiences (if you have any), but I assume most people won't be able to do more than just elaborate a bit more on their work and activities sections.

anyone else unable to submit even after paying the fee? It shows my application fee was not submitted but I have the credit card charge.

When did you submit your primary?

Is question 3 optional? It was last year

+1 wondering same.
In the portal, they are not optional. Obviously, if you did not experience any extenuating circumstances, you don't have to write the essay. I'm sure the majority have not had such circumstances.

I, for one, did not experience any and will probably answer, "I did not experience any extenuating circumstances."

agree, I'll do the same. I will note however that if you enter responses for the first two essays and leave the third blank, saving the page will not indicate that the page is incomplete. If you leave either of the first two responses blank, it notifies you that the page is incomplete. I emailed admissions to ask but I think this response is likely optional, they just forgot to mark it as so.

Does anyone else's Casper scores show up as not received despite results already being sent? Took mine early June and Atlus says results were delivered.

Did everyone to to hit every element that they mentioned or just focused on maybe 2? Word count is killing me.

i focused on every element except opportunity. I couldn't think of one for opportunity. Word count killed me too. I answered why Drexel in the first half and then how I met their mission in the second half

I took mine 6/11 and it says Casper scores are received. Did you check that you sent them?

Go double check that in the altius suite website under your account info that you have the email you used for your amcas application listed as the "Application Email"

If its different it messes with their processing of the results. Once you update it, the schools are automatically notified of the change and there system will correct it.

How did people approach question 1? I feel like I included everything that I had in my primary. It is not like I am keeping an ace up my sleeve to include in my secondary.

My email for altus and for my amcas are different and all of my schools have been able to process my Casper just fine. They process it through the AMCAS ID you provided them.

It will not automatically show as received, just give it a couple of days! 🙂

Also wondering this. Do they expect me to have 5 amazing new experiences that I completed in the past month to reflect on? I hate just repeating my primary tho 🙁

I feel like it is better to focus on a few and integrate the others within those few. Hitting on all of them in 1500 characters, imo, would just lead to only a few words each (and a not very compelling why us response)

At the same time, I feel like it's hard to elaborate on even 3 of them while still trying to write about "why Drexel."

Yeah I totally agree. To be honest, I'm mainly just talking about one big reason that I want to go to school there, and then I'm just integrating those ideas into what I have done and what I want to achieve at Drexel. I have no idea if this is the best way of attacking this question but at the same time, I feel like it would be better to do it this way then try to talk about each aspect of this mission, add a few words of how you embody that, and then try to explain why you want to go to Drexel (I feel like it risks coming off as insincere and formulaic)

How long did yours take to show up as received? I sent my scores a few days ago and it's still not showing up as received.

Did you hear back if this question is optional, not sure if I should answer it.

For the first prompt, how recent are you guys keeping your activities? Should we focus on activities we did over the last year or virtually all that prep us for med school is fair game?

how is everyone doing prompt 1?? such an odd prompt. i understand stood it as like “X experience taught me this, Y experience taught me this…” any recommendations??

Yes they emailed me and notified me of it but nothing seems to have changed on the application website
