@chilly_md @wysdoc

when schools say “in service to ___”, does it have to be volunteering? if it’s a paid job working with underserved communities would that count?

Submitted my application fee, but it is not showing up on the portal. I got a confirmation email but still nothing on the portal, which means I can't submit yet. Did anyone else have this issue?

Can someone confirm the wording of the questions posted by @CheeesyBoi ?
Please and thank you
OOS received, and can confirm those are the prompts! In addition, there is a prompt asking:

If your school has a Pre-Health or Pre-Medical Committee, and your letters are submitted by three individual letter-writers rather than your school’s Committee, please explain why you are not submitting a Committee letter.

Hundreds did not yet get the secondary. Keep hope alive, people; you're in it until they tell you you're not.
I didn’t but I’m also still on their waitlist so idk if having that active app has anything to do with it

I submitted my secondary, and everything is green checked but my status still doesn’t say I’m complete. Is this the same for others?

I received the secondary but after I log in I cannot find the application tab with the essay questions. I have the tabs for Welcome, FAQ, Application Update, and Status but I don't know where the essays are. Am I dumb or is this a glitch?

I'm adding my courses into the Emory secondary and I'm having trouble adding my AP course. I took AP Physics, and I wanted to put that in my Physical Science w/ Lab section. However, I can't add it in since the course technically doesn't have a grade associated with it, just credits. For now, I'm just creating a future coursework slot with the title of my course and the credit. I'm wondering if anyone has run into a similar issue and how they resolved it? Also, if someone has details on who to contact to resolve this issue that would be great!

Probably helpful to post this in the Emory specific tab, but I'm having the same issue 🙁

Does anyone have any difficulties uploading AP courses to the coursework section since it doesn't have a grade? I'm saving it as a "future course" for now, but not sure if I should be reaching out to someone about it?

you should try uploading your upper division courses instead of these APs

"Emory will accept some Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) credit, as long as the credits appear on a college transcript. If you have AP and/or IB credit in any of the science areas, it is recommended that you complete an upper level course to maintain your knowledge in that area."

"Exceptions to the course requirements can only be granted by the Admissions Committee and will be determined only once a complete application is submitted."

I'm going to guess that your AP credits aren't in the sidebar because they aren't on your transcript. If that's the case, you are probably out of luck. You could reach out to them and ask for an exception.

that's silly, your AP courses are in the past.

I did not have any issue uploading AP courses since they were in the sidebar. check the sidebar; they should be there if they are in your transcript.

And to add to this if they are not in the sidebar then that means you cannot use them as Emory doesn't accept AP courses that don't appear on the college transcript

1. Does shadowing count as health-related experience?
2. I am taking a gap year and mentioned my recent health-related experience in question 1, can I mention it again in question 2?

1. yes
2. That should be fine. They're asking about all health-related experiences including ones you've mentioned before so that should be fine

I will say that my AP courses are on my transcript and on my finalized AMCAS application, but not on my portal. I think I might send them an email because I've got courses to take their place, but they have mildly suspect names, and I don't wanna be too chancy.

Anyone else having trouble with the payment tab? I submitted the payment and even received an email saying that it was processed, yet, the tab still is not a green check mark. As a result, I cannot submit my application.

Had the same problem but it was fixed the next day

Is anyone having trouble with the course requirement tab? Both my English courses aren't populating in my list of completed coursework even though they were on my primary

Hi, I see that my AP course is in the sidebar but it doesn't have a "grade" with it since it's just credits. So whenever I click save, it just says it can't be saved. I can prob reach out to the admissions and see what I can do.

It appears in my sidebar, just doesn't have a grade attached so the save function isn't working. Prob need to reach out and see what I can do about the situation.

Mine had the grade as P for pass. I added it as the grade in my primary application because that is the grade in my transcripts. Check if you did that in your application and it has a grade.
