^^^^^^^Does anyone know when aid/scholarships come out?
^^^^^^^Does anyone know when aid/scholarships come out?
Mine was about a month exactly but this was in the fall. acceptances and waitlists went out the same day though, so no news doesn’t necessarily mean bad news!I interviewed on February 21st and haven't heard anything yet. I was wondering if anyone knows a typical UF turnaround time is for result notifications after the interview. I'm a bit concerned since I interviewed later in the cycle, and the class may be full by now.
They should’ve told you when decisions were coming out, they did on my day! Wait actually I think we were the same day! It should be coming out today I thought. Hopefully being interviewed late won’t negatively effect us 😔I interviewed on February 21st and haven't heard anything yet. They usually send out acceptances in afternoon/evening!
Nope 🙁(has anyone heard anything yet?
I haven't turned down my acceptance yet but I feel the same way 🙁Just turned down my A. (OOS, but lifelong resident until college.) I cited HB731 in my email withdrawing. Kinda breaks my heart, in spite of my hatred for humidity I miss Florida and was genuinely considering returning. I loved UF’s program. I just don’t want my medical education to be subject to the somewhat volatile whims of the government.
I hope my spot goes to someone waiting for good news 🤞🏻
>requires medical institutions of higher education to provide letter grade-based assessments for required coursesI haven't turned down my acceptance yet but I feel the same way 🙁
I would assume for public medical schools but yes>requires medical institutions of higher education to provide letter grade-based assessments for required courses
does this mean that every FL school is going to be forced to not be P/F???
really hoping this doesnt pass. wth is wrong with these legislators in this state manI would assume for public medical schools but yes
hoping its atleast amended out of the dei bill or somethingThey probably think that P/F = DEI and less qualified students, hence why they included it in a DEI bill. As a standalone bill, I doubt it would pass, but because they hid it into the DEI bill, there's a good chance it passes. Hopefully someone competent strikes it down.
imo the bill is problematic enough even without the p/f stuff. it basically would prevent public med schools from teaching cultural competency which is a part of accreditation. the whole bill SUCKShoping its atleast amended out of the dei bill or something
lol I was trying to wait until 5 today before I asked 😭 but I got in quite late so I suspect ppl who got in last month won’t hear til next week.Has anyone heard abt aid today
Wdym asked for aid verification?I assumed people who got asked for aid verification would be next week (rip me)
UF for both undergrad and grad has people “randomly selected” for financial aid verification. I got the email on Monday or Tuesday that I had to submit stuff separately to UF. I think very few med students are selected and I got several emails about itWdym asked for aid verification?
Hopefully, today is the day. I remember back in the fall, the admissions committee met on Tuesdays. Maybe they'll meet and make decisions todayAny WL movement yet?
