There was a Town Hall about it but I missed it. I think it's going to be used for scholarships though.

I'm an M2 who attend the town hall the Dean hosted after the donation. The money is going towards the school's endowment. It's like an investment, so they can't use the money directly. They can only spend the interest that will accrue on it yearly. The dean said she will fill us in when they get more information from Bloomberg Philanthropies on what stipulations they have for the use of the money.

My friend who applied last cycle got rejected only after she committed to enroll at another school. Not sure if they actively send out R letters.

I was given advice that LOR should be dated the year of the application cycle. But it may be your best bet to contact Howard or potentially get a new science prof LOR from another.

8/9, got verified 8/27. I got the email saying my primary app has been received and is verified, but no secondary yet. How long does it typically take to receive a secondary? My friend got her secondary the same time she got her “application verified” email so im kind of nervous. HUCM is my top choice.

Yeah i'm a reapplicant, the previous times i've applied i got it the same day. But not this time lol. I've seen in this thread though a lot of people got it 6-8 days later so maybe its just luck of the draw .. i hope.

you can always call them tmrw when theyre open! that way ur extra sure. i've heard weird things from ppl in the past that it got lost in spam etc and they don't end up realizing until very late @medicallymich

yea there is one saying secondary recieved and then a separate that says AMCAS application reviewed. "We have received and reviewed your AMCAS Primary and Secondary Applications for admission consideration for the M.D. degree program at HowardUniversity's College of Medicine."

mines didn't come until a month later so you should be okay
