The M1s in the GroupMe will give you more credible advice, but roughly parroting what they’ve said so far:

Most students live in Upper Fells Point or the medical campus. On campus there is The Essential (Hopkins affiliated) or The Tala (not Hopkins affiliated). The Essential is around $1700 for a 1 bed room fully furnished, including utilities. The Tala is $1900-$2100 for a 1 bed room not including utilities and not furnished. People in upper fells rent rowhomes and have roommates. Depending on how many roommates you are comfortable with, you could get your share of rent down to $600 or so. That accounts for probably 80% of students, the others are scattered around the city like near the Homewood (undergrad campus), Mt. Vernon, etc. I chose the Tala for at least the first year but am taking out extra loans because of it.

There is also a housing spreadsheet pinned in the GroupMe that includes some upper classmen trying to find additional roommates. Hopefully they’ll give you enough time to make your decision after they add you to the GroupMe.

post-enrollment procedures be giving me a headache. The transcripts thing is kind of dumb for me, like why can't amcas just send it? Also went to jhu for undergrad and I emailed the med admissions team asking if they can just internally source it... ended up being a no but like, my student id is literally the same?? why y'all gotta make me pay more money to send a transcript from JHU back to JHU. SMH.

Transcripts must be sent by the registrar's office of your schools (that's their job). Sorry, and I agree it's dumb to charge you to send a transcript within the university.
