A OFF THE WAITLIST AHHHHH
No, thank you letters to interviewers but nothing elseOmg congratulations!! Did you send an update letter/LOI?
Got fin aid email at about 3PM.Has anyone accepted today received their financial aid info?
Interesting, I got email about second look but not financial aid+1 OOS A this morning, didn’t get an email just checked my portal. God is great.
Got fin aid email at about 3PM.
Yesterday, I got an email to check my portal for an update letter.Did anyone at all get an email to even check their status?
(I just got an email for my login stuff, but I find it weird I never got an email to check my portal).
i was also first round and mine came less than 2 weeks ago!! hopefully yours is on the way but they are not speedy hahaReally silly question but I was accepted in the 1st round (in Dec) but still haven’t received my swag box, anyone have info on this?
There are 159 admitted students in the GroupMe for a target class size of 120. Last year, nobody was admitted from the waitlist and it was overenrolled by 7 people. They are hoping to utilize the waitlist, but it’s far from a guarantee that anybody will get in from the waitlist. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Letters of Intent don’t matter when the admitted —> matriculated yield is so high.Does anyone know if letters of intent / substantive updates have any bearing on WL movement? I feel like I've seen that the waitlist is ranked, so maybe it wouldn't matter much?
Alsooooo anyone know if they're sticking with the "WL movement begins in May" ?
Could have received less money than Einstein. Also could be for equity reasonsDoes anyone know if Hopkins will go the way of NYU and Einstein to make tuition free for all students? If Einstein was able to do it, why not Hopkins lol
Pretty sure they were both $1 billion donations. I suspect Hopkins covering COA for families under $175k is the unique caveat that the other two don’t offer — so definitely equity reasonsCould have received less money than Einstein. Also could be for equity reasons
They are also saying free tuition upto 300k family income?Pretty sure they were both $1 billion donations. I anticipate Hopkins covering COA for families under $175k is the unique caveat that the other two don’t offer — so definitely equity reasons
yes they do, I’m just adding that in addition to that they do a special thing for coa for families under 175k that the other free tuition schools don’t. That may be why the cutoff for free tuition under 300k will remain, as opposed to free tuition for all, which was sultanateiv’s og questionThey are also saying free tuition upto 300k family income?
The school will provide medical education tuition-free for students from families that earn up to $300k in annual income and a full-ride (inclusive of living expenses) for those from families earning up to $175k in annual income.

I feel like even if it gets revoked we shouldn’t be affected. I imagine it would take them time to instill the system back in place—that would take at least a couple of clerkship cycles to accomplish (I’m coping)im shaking in my boots bc i don't know the fate of pass fail.
I spoke to an MS1 today and they thought it would be implemented next year if it was decided (since clerkship start second semester of MS2)... They only swapped to p/f bc of COVID and I heard many faculty are in support of changing it back... I'm going to bring it up at second look this weekend if no one else does first. But I get the feeling the faculty will be like "we don't know yet" since it'll take a while for the committee to decide. I just don't know how receptive to student feedback they are.I feel like even if it gets revoked we shouldn’t be affected. This has already been discussed at length in the GroupMe and this thread. The current students think match outcomes will heavily influence the decision, and since the match list hasn't really been better than this year, they seem hopeful that p/f will stay. The committee hasn't met for their first time yet and it will be months before they have a decision.I spoke to an MS1 today and they thought it would be implemented next year if it was decided (since clerkship start second semester of MS2)... Nope, never got the email. Emailed the admissions office asking about this because I was also planning on sending an LOI, but just got an automatic reply stating they're currently receiving a "higher-than-normal volume of emails". I'm planning on going ahead and submitting my letter anyway.Did anyone else on the WL get the accept / decline WL spot email? In my update they said: "The Office of MD Admissions will send you an email later in the cycle, asking whether you would like to remain on the waitlist." I was planning on waiting to receive that email before sending in an interest or intent letter. Thanks!

+1 I think they were just waiting till the 4/15 deadlineJust got this today, didn’t realize they weren’t sending to everyone
No deposit due, just hit the plan to enroll button and withdraw all other acceptances. Then once you're done waiting on waitlists, withdrew from them all, and then go into the CYMST and switch to commit to enroll!Just decided on JHU — is there a deposit due today, or do we just hit plan to enroll by tonight on amcas and withdraw other As?
