+1 OOS. questions seem to be the same as last year.

Hey, so im confused. The prompt states we must do questions 1,2,4,6 is this referring to the prompts in question 1 or the overall secondary questions…. especially bc there is no question 7 on the secondary

Anyone just get an Ai thing? Just spooked me
Yes. I only used it for grammar check, so I'm wondering should I acknowledge that?

Edit, there are two options on the author attestation page. I think if I only used it for grammar, I should still probably check the 2nd one right (
I affirm that while artificial intelligence tools were employed in the process of drafting my essays, the content and ideas presented in these essays are entirely my own. I have not plagiarized or misrepresented any information, and all statements reflect my genuine thoughts and experiences.)

I wouldn't. I would just say you didn't use it in general. AI Checkers are unreliable at best, and you don't want to give admissions any ammo that could be used to discredit you. Also just a standard grammar checker is not AI, so that would be doubly bad imo

So many prompts for this school. Anyway, is the diversity essay also 150-200 words?

Does anyone have any information or links to resources on the community engagement/medical student service oppurtinites offered at UMass Chan? I've been searching on their website and google for hours but can not find any confirmed student organizations or clinics, or any page that has been updated since 2017. The only substantial thing I found is them supporting the CHIP initiative, but that isn't any specific action or activity that their students actually participate in.

Just confirming because I was notified about IS versus OOS tuition eligibility - admissions are not based on this right? I'm a current MA resident but haven't been here for 7+ years or whatever so I can't qualify for IS tuition, but I would qualify as IS for admissions purposes right?

Question regarding LOR requirements: it says "We require a letter from your pre-med committee or two letters of recommendation from science (biology, biochemistry, chemistry and/or physics) instructors in order to complete your application."

My pre-med committee does not provide a committee letter, just a letter packet (all together under one letter on AMCAS). My letter packet has 4 letters, only one from a science professor. I have another science letter I can use, but it's not strong. Should I add it as an additional letter outside the packet or call/email admissions to clarify if that's needed?

I would also rlly like to know if someone can answer this. Can I just write N/A?
I'm writing N/A for Q3 because it very clearly doesn't apply to me. I'd imagine they'll understand if you put N/A since there's no instructions to do otherwise.

Submitted my secondary on 7/2 and received email confirmation that it was completed and received. Logged in to the portal yesterday and it says my secondary was never submitted. Submitted it again and then got the same email as I did on 7/2 confirming it was completed and received again. Anyone else have this happen?

I would email them because mine says application submitted in the portal as of right now

is anyone having trouble accessing the secondary app portal? I haven't been able to pay or even log in since last week. Emailed the admissions office multiple times but no response. Wondering if the portal is just down?

I sent several emails with them back and forth and the lady said my application will be evaluated as a non-resident. I’m not sure what it means :/, I really hope tuition and admission are separate.

I asked them about their 6th question (the one about systemic inequities) and they said that it doesn't necessarily have to be related to healthcare or focused on the United States. Hope this helps!

POV: you don't have an II from UMass but the online application portal won't open

Interview Invite 8/6, OOS, submitted secondary 7/13. LM 69.70.
