Hi there, I'm an MS1. So exams in foundations (1st semester) are held in 3 blocks (roughly 4-5 weeks each). Exams during this semester are held on Thursday (for the main exams) and Friday (anatomy exam). Second semester onwards, exams are held at the end of each module (generally around 4-5 weeks except for a few which are longer) on Fridays.
As I'm planning my semester, this info is super helpful. Do you know when incoming students get to hear about their specific schedule, including the exact dates their exams take place?

Correct! Then (if you already matched in Texas) you wait until May 15 for WL offers. After that point, you are committed to your Texas match. If you do not have an A yet you can get offers up until orientation per the Texas Roundup post.

Can matched applicant who withdrew their matched offer in Texas (holding OOS A) still get offers off the WL in Texas after May 15?

Only if you get my permission.

Jokes aside... that's actually a really good question. I would check with TMDSAS about that unless @wysdoc has seen this before? I did a quick skim through other threads and couldn't find anything.

Yes, if you withdraw your TX offer soon.
That would put you back in the category of “Texans not holding a TMDSAS acceptance”

I’m not sure how likely it is that the school you are hoping for is going to notice you have dropped your Match admission, so be sure you know what you’re doing before making this unusual move.

But yo, why leave the best state? 🤠

Thank you for the clarification. Already withdrew my match offer but I would choose my other Texas WLs over my OOS A any day. Hope they know that and take me off the WL… Don’t want to leave Texas but due to personal circumstances I have to be in this unsual situation

Any WL movement?

Does anyone know if the Admissions Committee meets on a specific day of the week?
None that I am aware of yet, FB group has the same number of people. I have some friends also on the WL so I can let y’all know if there is movement on that end. Best of luck and hope to see you there <3

How many people are in the FB group if you don’t mind me asking?

Hey everyone! I have always looked at these forums but never made an account or posted here. However, I just wanted to come on and say that I received an IS A off the waitlist yesterday evening. I know I was starting to feel hopeless, so I hope this inspires some hope in you all who are waiting as well. Good luck, everyone!

Congrats! I’m curious, did you provide any letters of update during the waiting period?

Not an update letter. I did email the admissions office about a week after the WL email, just thanking them for still being in consideration and stating how thrilled I would be to attend McGovern because it is my first choice. I have no idea if it made a difference or not, but everything I said was true, so I figured, why not?

IS A off the waitlist, yesterday evening as well, still in shock from it all. But considering I had 0 matches in texas I felt hopeless and was coming to terms with leaving the state. And I just want to say to anyone feeling discouraged right now, don’t give up. Wishing everyone, good luck!

Congratulations! This may be a weird question, but does “evening” mean around 7-9 pm? Did they call at night like that?
