Wait what?? I'm so sorry, that's so messed up. Do you still have an A as an MD student rather than MD/PhD?MD/PhD A has been rescinded due to funding issues.

They didn't say; they said you could talk to them about possible deferral / priority consideration in the next cycle (but didn't guarantee it in the email lol). Not a great look for the school, I'll be honest. Especially since they had assured us all at second look, multiple times, that they would not pull As for their accepted cohort.Wait what?? That’s so frustrating; I’m so sorry. I’m surprised too because every other school I’ve heard about who’s had to pull PhD As has kept the MD ones. I dont understand why that should affect your place in the MD class and I’m so sorry you have to deal with this. ❤️They didn't say; they said you could talk to them about possible deferral / priority consideration in the next cycle (but didn't guarantee it in the email lol). Yeah, definitely not optimal! Thankfully I have other excellent options, but I do wish they would have told us there was a possibility of rescinding these As ahead of time -- some people hadn't even had time to finish going to other schools' second looks and thus wouldn't have been able to make a fully informed decision anyway. And maybe this is also a lesson to be extra cautious whenever you're asked to trust your schools' or programs administration. That’s so frustrating; I’m so sorry. knowing UNC I’m still going to wait like a month and a half to hear anything… in a sense there’s some peace to thatanyone literally tweaking out cause i can barely sit still with all the decisions about to start up again?
Yeah, I would wager that most waitlist movement will be for OOS folks.are there any IS WL hopes? Guessing most IS people accepted due to cost so probably not at this point
July 2 according to the AAMC 2025 MSAR Application Timeline pdf, but not sure if UNC released any updated deadlinesDoes anyone know UNC's Commit to enroll date?
Thank you so much! I only ask because the timeline for another school I got into has a different deadline than the MSAR data 😵July 2 according to the AAMC 2025 MSAR Application Timeline pdf, but not sure if UNC released any updated deadlinesView attachment 402882

I got a call from Dr. Rahangdale- she said she was calling a lot of people but nothing specific. I interviewed 9/9!Congratulations! Did they email/call? Also did they provide any information about how many people they waitlisted or are planning to accept off the waitlist and what was your interview date?
Dr. Rahangdale is the chair of the UNC admissions committee. I imagine she will be calling all applicants accepted from the waitlist to expedite thingsCongrats on the A! Not to bombard you with questions but is that who interviewed you or do you know if they’re in charge of calling all waitlisted applicants? Also, do you mind sharing your stats? Thank you!
side note but I love your username, thank you for brightening my day lolhoping for some good news anytime now.....
Dr. R did happen to be my interviewer but I think she was calling everyone accepted off the waitlist. My LM was 78! Happy to give any other info if you want… my app was pretty much centered on wanting to go into rural care in NC so I imagine that helped me.Congrats on the A!
