This might be different for MD-only, but the MSTP program director told us to go into our interviews without stress; he said he believes we're all qualified applicants and that his goal for the interviews was to convince us, the applicants, why we should choose Stony Brook over other programs. All of my interviews felt very conversational, with most of my interviewers talking about their research. The only interview that felt "traditional" was the one I had with a current student, and he asked me some creative questions that I really appreciated.Does anyone know how much Stony Brooks weighs interviews?
Interesting. Is this possibly the same for MD? Meaning when they interview you are they pretty confident in you as an applicant? This might be different for MD-only, but the MSTP program director told us to go into our interviews without stress; he said he believes we're all qualified applicants and that his goal for the interviews was to convince us, the applicants, why we should choose Stony Brook over other programs. They asked me a lot about my extracurriculars and the things that i wrote about. It was a pretty standard chill interview.also how representative are the questions on sdn
