If I wrote about the location of one of the campuses in my first answer, how should I approach the question regarding interest in the campus without sounding redundant? Do you guys think I should find another thing to talk about in the first prompt?

How crazy is it to submit to st. Luke’s oos? Are my odds much less than north Philly?

You only get considered for the campus you pick. St. Luke's wants people who will practice in the Lehigh Valley (they state this over and over again and it is why they even opened that campus) so if you don't have ties/some pretty strong reasons it's probably best to apply to Philly

Yes, most pre-clinical lectures are streamed from main campus, but some lectures are also streamed from St. Luke's, so it goes both ways. My impression is that the majority of students at either campus don't attend lecture in-person anyway, but if you really prefer in-person lectures, Temple Main will give you that option more often.

Yes, St. Luke's partnered with Temple for this reason, but plenty of St. Luke's students are OOS with little to no ties to the area.
My advice: Pick the campus where you fit best, because, coincidentally, that's the one where you are most likely to be accepted! This interview with LKSOM's Associate Dean of Admissions, Dr. Ufberg, ought to be watched by anyone applying to either campus:

Hi, thank you for your detailed post! I am curious about the patient demographic at St. Luke's. I am interested in Asian immigrant health, and so it seems logical that I should apply for Main Campus since that is in an urban environment, but I don't want to base decisions off of assumptions alone.Incoming M1 @ St. Luke's here, feel free to message me with any questions!
I want to provide this year's applicants with some more info about the St. Luke's campus:
First, the faculty, staff, and students are extremely warm and welcoming, each and every one. I've heard that Temple Main interviews (particularly the community interviews) can be hit or miss, but all three of my interviews with St. Luke's were amazing.
Some of you may be asking - does St. Luke's take OOS students? The answer is an emphatic YES, and I am one of them. That said, judging by the makeup of the incoming class, they do seem to have a bit of a sweet spot for students from PA and NJ.
Now, I'm going to be real here - if you are looking for some glitzy high-tech school with towering panels of glass, apply to Temple Main. If you'd rather attend a school with a small, tight-knit class in a medium-sized city, St. Luke's is for you.
A big reason I chose to come to St. Luke's was their Second Look Day. We had the opportunity to play pool and chat with current students and they all had nothing but praise for the school. Least stressed med students I've ever met - it was very apparent that the administration makes every effort to support them. You simply can't fake the genuine enthusiam that they had for their school.
Oh, and yes, it's $10,000 less tuition per year because of the St. Luke's scholarship. This should NOT be your sole reason to apply to St. Luke's.
Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Dermatology have all been matched from St. Luke's over the past three years.

May I also ask why you chose to apply to St. Luke's over Temple? Did you mainly emphasize their tight-knit community focus in your secondaries?

Yes, main campus does have a significantly higher local Asian immigrant population. In terms of total Asian population, Philly is 7.8% vs ~3% in Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton. I chose St. Luke's because of the tight-knit culture, the location (I'm not interested in living in a very large city like Philly) and the class size of 40 students. In my St. Luke's secondary, I emphasized these factors.
For Asian immigrant health specifically, North Philly may be the better option. There are also plenty of medically underserved people around St. Luke's if you are willing to broaden your scope a bit.
Plenty of other factors to consider here, though... for example, can you see yourself living more happily and healthily in Philly or Bethlehem?

Agh, to be honest, I went to undergrad in a heavily urban environment. While it was convenient being near Asian supermarkets and other businesses, I really didn't like the claustrophobic nature of it...
But I heard that people who go to main campus can choose to live in a suburb nearby?

Can someone help me with LKSOM’s supplemental application process ~
I’ve answered all the questions and essay prompts, signed my name and paid the Supplemental fee. I only received an auto-email with payment receipt, and did not receive any emails from Temple acknowledging receipt of my Supplemental application submission. I’m used to receiving an email from the school after submitting my supplemental. Is it because my CASPER and MCAT scores are pending, and there is still one LOR not submitted? Unlike other schools, regardless of pending scores and LORs, there is an email or a tab marked “Supplemental Submitted” once I’ve paid and clicked on submit. Temple’s doesn’t seem to have the same set up.

Your application will be complete when they receive your casper and mcat score.
They will email you with a status update that states the following: " All required items have been received, including your Casper test score. Really? Theres a whole paragraph about it in their "About us", its part of their mission, and they have a research tab on their site. I was able to find a ton of info 🙂
Obviously its not as research focused as T20s but they definitely seem to find some value in research.

Ya I agree they like research, but I couldn't find any medical school scholarly concentrations in research, integrated research programs, summer research programs for med students, etc. I just found general descriptions of the research buildings they have on campus, general names of departments, and generally non-medical student opportunities.

yeah, I feel like certain universities say that they like one thing but when you're able to talk to other students they may tell you "Yes it's true we do that, but really our school's focus is much more on ____"

Maybe you can instead talk about how it affected you personally since that's one of the options too
If nothing is, talk about how it affected those around you (family, friends) and by extension you. But I am sure to some extent the world shutting down affected you in some way
I wrote my first one as more general towards mission and things such as research and then for the third I went in deeper with specific research centers I want to work in and working with the specific community of that campus

For those who are applying to St. Luke's campus, are you using student organizations only at St. Luke's campus when answering the first question, or are you guys using both North Philadelphia and St. Luke's student organizations when writing the "why us" prompt?
If you have an IA, you will need to email your school and ask for a contact that can submit a letter on your behalf explaining what the IA was and the cirucmstances around it.
