the dean of admissions talked with my undergrad a month or two ago. he said it is not a soft R and that all applications on hold are re-reviewed. tulane receives a ton of applications and they want to make sure they read every application prior to filling up their interview slots.

Thank you! Also just to add to this, last cycle I got the “hold” email four times I think throughout the cycle. I think this means that they reviewed my application a few different times before I ultimately got the R.

I’ll let you know! I have been under review since 8/16 and haven’t heard anything since from Tulane

Some people hear back in 3-4 weeks. Some here back much later. Doesnt seem to be a clear trend or pattern. I wouldnt worry too much about it, although as someone who's been waiting for a while I feel you 🙂

I would say pretty conversational interviews. They had a couple questions to ask but mostly just went off of what they read in my application and asked questions about my experiences.

I really liked my couple of interviews. Everyone was really chill and just wanted to have a conversation. It did not really feel like a Q&A session but much more like a discussion.

Complete 8/7 and still nothing about being under review, I feel you.... I think I remember reading earlier in this thread that some folks didn't get the emails. I have ties to the area and would love to go here so radio silence from these folks is killing me.

I think they're still working through July secondaries tbh. you will get yours soon!! 🙂
